It may be good idea to include the Tesco Mall with a trip to the Quays, about 7 minutes walk away.
A free shuttle bus runs every 90 minutes, starting at the Hard Rock, and stops at several other bus stops in Batu Ferringhi along the way.
The marina houses several high end yachts, and many of the cafes and restaurants offer el fresco dining to take advantage of the water and marina views. There is Starbucks, Subway, Dome, Papa Rich, Coffee Bean Secret Recipe … all the usual suspects and then some.
Inside the mall, the Victorian style arcades and marble floors are home to several up market branded retail stores, more restaurants, an art gallery, a carpet gallery, a high end Spa and a furniture store. It’s all quite tastefully done, and one can easily while away a few hours here. Parking is no problem here and cost is only RM1.
Best time to visit is on the weekend when there is a craft market inside the mall complex. It’s open till late.
