Some reasonable restaurants here, and a nice place to come for coffee and soak up the marina views. There is a Starbucks with el fresco seating. There is a Papa Rich restaurant, but was temporarily closed last time we were there due to staff shortage

Also there is a flee market every weekend inside the complex where I found some foreigners selling hand crafts not easily found elsewhere.

There is plenty of secure parking on either side of the complex, cost is only RM1. It's a bit different from other parts of Penang so for that reason alone probably worth a visit. Of course there are good clean bathroom facilities here, also showers. I will post some photos next time I visit.

It's rather expensive to moor your boat here and no local food stalls, so for mooring Lankawi seems to be the preferred location

If you like expensive shops or restaurants, this place may attract you. I went for the attraction of the markets which was soooo disappointing. Nothing really there to attract you to buy, that you could not otherwise purchase at half the price in Georgetown. Once you are dropped off here, there is nothing else to do, but get a taxi to somewhere else. Unless it it a place you really want to tell friends you had been there, I would give it a miss.

A lovely setting at the harbour, and that is worth seeing and walking along the boardwalk, but the plaza itself does not have many shops and is very high end. However, it does have a great Converse outlet store and we did buy a few things ion there!

I was go here just because there was a Japanese Culture event at the multifunction hall of this place. People said there was several event also held in this place frequently every year. There was also a theatre with a lot of activity every week. The shopping complex, dont expect too much, there just a normal small shopping mall for me. One of the most interesting part is the bay which is located at the back. It was quiet nice, but i think they should build or make another attraction in order to attract more visitors.

Penang comes to life in Straights Quay in the evening, beautiful Marina, surrounded by restaurants and all different cultures and nations all enjoying the evening breeze whilst sipping a cocktail or two, from the lively Irish and German bars to the relaxing cake and snack ocean side cafe' as for the car parking there is lots of parking spaces and yes maybe as with all popular places you have to be patient, there is even a water taxi to take you across to George Town, wonderful new concept to Penang

The parking is 1rm per visit,
