Located outside of Grandola this accommodation complex is part of a working cork plantation. The bedrooms are spread over several buildings. Apparently some bedrooms are studio style with the bedroom up a flight of stairs, bathroom on the lower level. Our room was single-level and very spacious with double glass doors out on to a semi-private patio. The only criticism was the lack of lighting in the bathroom. The staff were welcoming. The heated indoor pool was a bonus. Breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. The isolation is an attraction, and we left the drapes drawn overnight so as to enjoy the moonlight over the cork trees and the night sky. Wi-Fi was only available in the reception office and it was terribly slow. Recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for single level bedroom.

This place is really in the middle of nowhere but that makes it so interesting; it is part of a large establishment working on cork and you can see how they are handling the cork skins taken from the trees; the rooms are spacious and well done; it is very quiet and yet it has a very small pool to relax and a a tennis court as well; very good local food is served in the restaurant; knowing a little bit of Portugees is recommended as the staff speaks very little English

The purpose of this trip was as a romantic getaway for my girlfriend and I and it was pretty much perfect for that. The rooms are set out alongside each other, but with enough space between the living quarters and bedrooms that, even though we had a young family next door, we were never disturbed and had pretty much perfect peace and quiet, the whole weekend.
It's a family run hotel and you immediately get this vibe and also one of the place being totally relaxed. We didn't eat in the restaurant at dinner, but everything smelled terrific and the breakfast was excellent, with a good range of foods of different kinds, in a buffet format, along with tea and coffee.
We used the indoor pool during the afternoon, which is behind the reception building and so does not feel overly exposed, rather quite private. One thing that was truly amazing was the lack of light pollution - this place is in a rural tourism zone - and so we were able to sit outside and watch the stars before we went to bed. Super romantic. Highly recommended.

Went on this summer. Arriving at this place is the same feeling when we arrive at home, excelent reception, the food is very good and local. Nice to rest for the city stress and stay with our family. Good for kids with playground and pool.

Great place to relax. Enjoy the wonderful landscape and do nothing :)
The rooms are very well decorated, good space inside and very clean.
The swimming pool is good and as a lot of shade close if you don't want to be in the sun. It´s a very good place to go with babies and/or kids.
Breakfast is nice with enough of everything although it could improve the variety of products.
We staid for 1 week with our 3 months baby and we were very pleased with the attention they pay to details - they even provided a special baby bed (even tough we had our one).

Only the food is something they could definitely (should?) improve. They only have one option for each meal (one day meat the other day fish). What ever they decide to do is very good.

It was our first time there and we will absolutely go back (but not to eat) :)

Room Tip: You can find very good restaurants in Grândola (or close).
