Went on this summer. Arriving at this place is the same feeling when we arrive at home, excelent reception, the food is very good and local. Nice to rest for the city stress and stay with our family. Good for kids with playground and pool.

Great place to relax. Enjoy the wonderful landscape and do nothing :)
The rooms are very well decorated, good space inside and very clean.
The swimming pool is good and as a lot of shade close if you don't want to be in the sun. It´s a very good place to go with babies and/or kids.
Breakfast is nice with enough of everything although it could improve the variety of products.
We staid for 1 week with our 3 months baby and we were very pleased with the attention they pay to details - they even provided a special baby bed (even tough we had our one).

Only the food is something they could definitely (should?) improve. They only have one option for each meal (one day meat the other day fish). What ever they decide to do is very good.

It was our first time there and we will absolutely go back (but not to eat) :)

Room Tip: You can find very good restaurants in Grândola (or close).

I picked this hotel because it got a good rating on Trip Advisor. The hotel is so much better when you get there. The hotel was a challenge to find but what a find when you get there. There are so many cork trees as far as the eye can see. There is also a beautiful huge cage that houses many beautiful birds. Each room is so unique. The rooms are not cookie cutter hotel rooms. The furnishings and the character of what it took for each room is incredibly beautiful. Each of the rooms has a patio with modern furnishings that look out into the sea of cork trees. The breakfast room has a medieval fireplace. You get the picture. You have to stay there to appreciate the sereness at night when you don't hear nothing just beautiful stillness. I definitely recommend making a dinner reservation at thier restaurant when you make your room reservation which I wasn't aware of till I got there. The next time we're in this part of Alantejo I'll definitely will be back. Our family didn't want to continue our trip to the Algarve that's how nice this was. Some rooms even have kitchenettes. I'm so glad I chose it over a typical hotel.

Typical, charming Alentejo style countryside hotel with very nice owners. Apartments are beautifully decorated in the local style. The food served in the restaurant is delicious. There is also an indoor swimming pool and a playground for kids. This place can be fully recommended for a relaxing stay at the Portuguese countryside.

We stayed at Monte das faias in December of 2011.

We were given a huge, brand new apartment. Great value for money.

Staff and owners were very kind and helpful.

The dinner we had was great, reasonably priced.

In summer you can have a swim in the outdoor pool, in winter well, there is the indoor one with jacuzzi as well. Then, after dinner, you can have a coffee in front of the fireplace and read some newspapers or magazine...sooo relaxing.
