We just came back from a one week vacation in Zakynthos. We were in Greece many times before, and we booked this vacation just a couple of days before the departure and did not have high expectations, but - everything was amazing! The whole island is so versatile and extremely beautiful! The location of this hotel is great - near the main street where you can rent a quad, car or a motorcycle (we decided for Olympic rentals and were really satisfied with them) and discover the island alone. The staff in the hotel is working really hard to make you feel welcome and are very friendly and helpfull, especially two girls working at the reception (Eleni and Sortyani - I am sorry, probably misspelled this). The rooms were very clean, and they changed the towels every day. The breakfast was okey, even better (diversity, taste) than in some 4 stars Greek hotels in which we stayed before.

Upon arrival was a little disappointed with the room - it was dark, gloomy had steps up to reach the bathroom and single beds (even though we had received an email from the new owner saying we would have a double bed that we requested). However, after opening the blackout electric shutters to the balcony the room did not seem quite as bad although like most greek bathrooms the shower was so small with a fabric curtain that the floor got soaked after every use. Air con at 6euros per night was very effective but does work out costly when staying 14 nights. While we were there the new owners were staying at the hotel with new umbrellas and mattresses being put by the pool and some rattan furniture too - slightly concerned over the glass tables that were put by the poolside and the mattresses are too big for the current sun beds (witnessed more than one person sitting on the end thinking the mattress had bed under it but it did not and they went flying) and also there does not seem to be a rule about having drinks in glasses by the pool (with people even in the pool with their wine glasses) - we did bring this up with the new owner but he did not seem to bothered! All that said the rooms and hotel itself are very clean and most of the time we had the pool to ourselves (and even sometimes the Jacuzzi which comes on every hour and is very enjoyable - albeit a little difficult to get in and out of). Maggie is very hard working and friendly and seems to work more times than not - always ready to talk and give local information. Breakfast was very basic but always managed to fill up mainly on boiled eggs and break as the hot items were always cold) and juice was very poor too. Hotel is on a side road and to get to the main strip you do have to cross a very busy road (with a sharp bend which makes it difficult to see what is coming) to get to anywhere including the beaches (which are small and not that clean) you have to cross the road. The best part was the choice of wonderful bars and restaurants you have on the strip we went to Stars three times (sardines and stuffed peppers delicious), Gustos twice (must try the fish platter for two it was amazing), Peppermint, Serenity, The Yard (mixed grill very tasty) Charlie Chaplins (went there for lunch and the chicken burger was the best I have ever eaten), was recommended the new Red Wine restaurant but was a little disappointed when had lasagne and mousakka as part of a sharing plate and could not tell the dishes apart. Flocas is a must for the cooked breakfast crazy staff but food tasty and good value. Bars were all great and most showing the World Cup and we spent a few evenings in Avalon and Artemis staff and drinks were second to none. We went to Greek Taverna in the hill Target restaurant which was an enjoyable evening and the views are amazing just called them and they pick you up and take you home whenever you like. We went to Pete's tours for our trips and dealt with Michael - the jeep safari was fantastic and cannot recommend this enough. Also went on Sun Set cruise (was good although run out of wine) and did book to go to a water park but weather changed and the bus was cancelled (although only found this out after waiting for half hour after getting up early but refund given by Michael as we were unable to rebook).

Room Tip: ask for one without split level maybe overlooking the pool

We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and we thought it was very good value for what we paid. Lovely swimming pool area which was always kept clean and a great size if you want to do some lengths. Friendly bar staff by the pool who make delicious cocktails. Breakfast each morning had a range for everyone. Area was great we chose a different restaurant each night to eat at in the town of Argassi; is only a very short walk away. As for the beach, Aragassi beach is very small therefore we chose to get a 15 euro taxi to nearer beaches. Rooms were fine and had all the necessities required for a week away.

Very relaxing week in this hotel which is in a quiet location of the resort. It was very quiet during our stay (mid June) It is kept exceptionally clean in all areas. Staff are unassuming, friendly and polite. Breakfast is typically Greek, basic but adequate. The hotel was in process of replacing the umbrellas and new ratten chairs and sofas were being put in place around the pool bar area. You are not allowed in pool until 11am when the lifeguard arrives. Plenty of sunbeds.
