I was super happy with staying at nam long plus hotel.
I booked my stay and their paradise cave tour only 10 hours before I arrived at Dong Hoi. They picked me up from the railway station, brought me to the hotel, gave me a lovely breakfast and collected me together with other people to start their caves tour (did the w/o swimming) after I was done eating and having my morning coffee. Whilst doing all that they booked me a train ticket and hotel room for my next destination the following night. I was impressed.
It‘s a family-owned two hotel business with lovely, very well English speaking mother and daughter (haven’t met son and father) as well as other stuff members (really everybody was genuinely nice and spoke English well).
The cave tour was guided by Nick and Kate, both lovely, funny people, told us a lot about the caves and their area of Vietnam, good tour, includes a whole lunch, you can have as much water as you want during the tour.
Rooms at Nam Long Plus were as clean as you want your own house, I felt instantly at home and for the first time in Vietnam, I must say, not at all disgusted but able to just throw myself on the bed or take a shower without flip flops.
So my conclusion for staying in Dong Hoi is:
- Free Wifi
- Free Parking
