What we were offered in Darjeeling @ ITC Forutne Resort in HImalayan Height we got the opposite. Room are spacious but not that much cozy as ITC Forutne Resort , Hotel Staff was ok and was trying to be courteous. In food you did'nt have options like we were offered in ITC Forutne Resort . As this hotel is a multistorey you will have to walk all the way to the fourth floor as there is no lift. If i give 9 to ITC Forutne Resort then himalyan heights will get 4..

The hotel from outside looks OK but not up to mark. The rooms are small & not clean. The resturant is bad with very little choice of food available which doesnot match the al a cart menu. Its not worth the price they charge.

We stayed here on our way back from North Sikkim. The hotel is close to the taxi stand and near the main post office and the shopping area. The view from the room is the green and open Paljor stadium- so relaxing on the balcony with a cup of coffee is a must- do. The rooms are spacious, clean and reasonably well- maintained, though the room locks are not easy to operate. The staff are helpful and the service is adequate.
The food is very good- the chef interacts with the guests and plans the menus and the food is served appetisingly well.

This hotel looked OK when i found it on internet. The numerous facilities given on internet and the price was unmatched. Little did i know that my hunt for cheap and best will spoil my honeymoon trip. If you are looking for good service, well mannered hotel staff, troubleless tour then this hotel is not for u. This is really not value for money. If u only want to concentrate on sight seing then go for some other hotel or pay money in Himalayan heights and don't think about quality at all. One of worst experience of my life.

I will talk about positives first -
The locality of the hotel was really good. The view from the balcony also was good. The travel facility and arrangement was satisfactory.

Now the negatives, please read carefully -
There was not any welcome from the hotel side. None of the hotel staff advanced to take our luggages. 2 out of 4 luggages left unattended and we had to carry those to our room - Dlx room in 3rd floor. Uncleaned wooden floor, which was quite slippery; geyser was not working, only one mug in the bathroom, dirty towels, pathetic blanket, only one (broken) chair in the balcony, small table in the room, sad lighting - only low power bulbs & no milky light avlbl. Saddest part was the behavior of the staff - when i reported abt geyser they told "i dont know how to use geyser." and finally they couldn't do anything about it. TV was quite old and the picture was not clear. Remote wasn't working Also the way of serving food was quite unmannered. The entire order was served in the room @ once & uncovered. So by the time we finished 1/4 of food, it was icy cold. Manager's (Mohan dai) response was even more shocking and finally we left the hotel the 2nd day as it wasn't worth for Rs. 2000 a day

The hotel is excellent and provides most hospitable environment to be in. The management the others are too courteous and are ready to offer their help. Food is just excellent and time spent there is true value for the money paid. located 1 km away from MG Marg but there is no parking facility. The buffet breakfast is very limited with bread toast, sandwich and poori / aloo paratha. There is no lift and climbing three floors is painful sometimes.
