The stay at this hotel was fantastic. The owner is a very jolly lady who handles the entire business too well. Customer Relations is the most important aspect for this place. The staff is also trained well like her.

I am a frequent guest at this property and the service and value continue to exceed expectations. The owner is most accommodating and caring person who is always there to take care of the needs of her many frequent and repeat customers. They are a testimony to her attentiveness. I would recommend this property very highly

This place came as a recommedation from a friend for homely service and flexibility. I had called 2 dayus earlier and blocked the Executive delux room for 2 days. The guy (sekar i think - forgot his name) promptly blocked it for me. He also called be back a day before my check in day to confirm. He had nicely discussed the touring options and other details and i was really happy about my decision of staying there until a few hours before check in.
I was driving to pondy from Chennai, half way through (it was already 10 PM) when i called the hotel to inform that i'll be there in an hour or so and because it was late and by the time i reach, it would be after 11 / 1130 PM, i requested the attenter (Elango) over the phone to take the food order and keep it in my room so that i could have dinner after i check in. He promptly said he couldnt as i had not paid any advance and there is no guarantee that i would come to the hotel to stay. I told him again that i was on the way and would be there in an hour but he kept on saying that he wont take that risk and denied completely. I asked for the owner's number to talk to her about this situation and he just bluntly said he cannot give the number. I really goot irritated and cancelled my reservation there.
This might be a great place but Elango spoiled it for me even before i could check in. I would never go back to this place and would not recommend it to anyone. A very disappointing experience.
None the less, i went to Villa Bayoud - where i stay regularly and staff there (Mr Gupta was welcoming as usual)

We have stayed in Executive Inn many times when we have visited Pondicherry, the hotel is situated very close to the Aurobindo Ashram and Ganesha Temple in white town. The staff is very friendly and the rooms spacious and clean. The multi cusine restaurant is one of the best places in Pondicherry for a sumptuous meal..its location makes it an ideal choice for new travellers. We have enjoyed out trips to Pondy and look forward to coming back again soon

My wife and me stayed in the executive suite for 3 days in this hotel. Suite has a small hall , bedroom and a bath with a tub.

Like:-
Location :- Walking distance to Aurobindo Ashram and the Promenade.
Rooms:- Airconditioners in both the hall as well as bedroom. Other facilities include LCD TV (with most of the channels), fridge , bath essentials (towels, soap , foam bath for the bath tub).
Food:- Good food especially the breakfast (guess being complimentary helps).
Service:- Prompt service with a smile.
Owner/Manager Beena talks with the guest when she is in the hotel and offers to help in anyway she can. This is a nice personal touch.

Dislike:-
Room - bit congested. Rooms are a little bit small with a lot of furniture inside.
General Maintenance:- Just walked through the building and although the fittings used are good they look a bit old and need some maintenance. Walls can do with a coat paint although they are not bad at all.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms in the first or second floor. I stayed for a night on the ground floor and 2 nights on the first floor and I found the rooms on first floor look a little less congested. Also rooms come with a balcony.
