First holiday in India after 2 years. La Villa was perfection - location, service and food. From the organized pick up at the Chennai airport to our returned trip - it was a relaxing, pleasurable place in the heart of the White Town. It was easy to spend long mornings walking the colonial streets of the town and relax in our room in the afternoon. Enjoyed the food here and at their sister location Villa Shanti! Amazing food! - good mix Indian and French.
The staff were always helpful and professional making our stay.
A big thanks to the staff!

Food is not up to the mark. They offer very limited items in breakfast which are scarce in quantity. Very very expensive without any facilities. WORST HOTEL EVER VISITED. CHEATERS... Pondicherry govt requested to thoroughly check why such cheating

This was our last stop on a two week trip from the west to the east coast of India and we spent 3 nights here and wished we could have stayed more. The hotel is small just 6 rooms and beautifully appointed. The beds are fabulously comfortable. Every meal we had there was more delicious than the one before. There is a lovely rooftop pool - perfect for cooling after after a mornings shopping. Would absolutely love to go back

Our Pondicherry trip began with a check-in at La Villa, probably one of the most beautiful properties in White Town. The reception area is right in front of the cozy garden cafe, which is the first thing you see when you step inside. As I sat there with my wife while being briefed about what to do and see during our stay, I realized that this place was so tranquil and serene and had "retirement goals" written all over it.

Anyway, Seetha escorted us to the Bridge to Heaven, which is a suite that definitely lives up to its name. On the way, we were quite impressed by the property, which is a brilliant combination of quaint and quirky. If you agree with me that spiral staircases beat elevators, then you will love this place even more.

The Bridge to Heaven is advertised as their premium suite and is indeed quite magnificent. Not only did we find the suite spacious, the interiors were stunning, the bed and furniture was very comfortable and of course, when you light-up the dainty lamps in the evening, you understand why the name of the suite has "heaven" in it.

The staff is very sweet and acquiescent. A good reason for anyone to like this place would be the sheer effort put-in by the staff to make sure that you're having a good stay. Seetha took really good care of us. In fact, you can blindly trust her advice on what to visit and what to skip when you're exploring Pondicherry.

Moving on to our dining experiences. We decided to have dinner in the terrace area of our suite and the staff was kind enough to arrange a beautiful table for two, with candles and warm lighting. Back at the Garden cafe as well, they haven't cluttered the area with too many tables, which means that everyone can have a nice, private candle-lit dinner without having to make any special requests. Even the breakfast was quite good.

To conclude, I would say that if you're heading to Pondicherry, there is no better place to stay than La Villa. It is located at a 2-3 minute walk from the beach and has everything to make your stay memorable.

Such a quaint beautiful serene place. The food that we ordered was par excellence! One has to wait for ten minutes plus for your meal because everything is prepared only after the order. The servers were pleasant. The loo was clean .

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your kind comment and we are happy to learn that you felt the food was excellent!

The Chef is a one star Michelin French Chef called Michel Christmann and his philosophy is to create a french gourmet menu combining local flavors and ingredients.

We do hope to welcome you back soon,

Kind regards,

LA VILLA Team
