A traditional south Indian lord Ganesha temple. Everyday huge people visit here. One of the famous tourist attraction in Puducherry. Due to crowded we had to wait approximately 10 minutes in queue. The place is really divotional place. There are not any seperate parking area. You have keep it beside road. We purchased puja thali which was reasonable. A elephant standing outside of temple whose we had gaves banana to eat but elephant keeper told us don't give food to elephant. Actually he wants money only.
A must visit temple in pondicherry. Believe me you need to feel the vibe to believe it. Can't explain just feel it.
Ganapati temple, loved the vibes. Located in white town and easily accessible. Has Laxmi the elephant outside the temple which was a pleasing sight as well
The temple closes at 01:00 PM but fortunately it was open for a little late. We could manage to get the darshan. They have the shoe stand on chargeable basis and prasad distribution in the afternoon. Not much crowded and very neat. Must visit place in Pondy closer to Arvindo Ashram and beach road.
Beautiful, colorful temple. This temple is dedicated to Ganesha. Be prepared to take off your shoes and be in close proximity with others, as the temple does get crowded. No photos or cell phones are allowed inside, as it’s a place of worship. The downside is that since this is a popular tourist attraction, the entrance is crowded with people begging for money and selling trinkets. It was overwhelming trying to navigate through the crowd and the sea of beggars and street vendors simultaneously.
