We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment which was overlooking the smaller pool and it was fantastic. (i think it was room 248). It had a huge balcony which was shaded because it was on the first floor, if you are on the 2nd floor you have no shade. The apartment was huge (for two people) with great bathroom, bath and shower, double sink etc.

The cleaning staff come in every day (if you want them to) and are always around if you want/need extra towels, toilet paper etc.
The pools were really nice - good that there are two because the lower, larger one, tended to attract most of the kids and the smaller one (still not tiny) was a bit quieter. The water temperature wasn't that warm though.. not freezing, once you were in it was ok, but it wasn't warm!

There is a small shop, with limited stock. At the end of our stay they hardly had anything because they were getting ready for a rennnovation and were running stock down. That's fine but if you still have guests, then either have enough basic stuff, or just close.

The supermarket, Mercadona, with a few other shops and couple of cafes, is about a 10 - 15 min walk down the road and the beach and town is probably a 25 - 30 min walk, and not the most scenic route so not particularly attractive. We only walked it one evening, partly because both of us were sick so we just took taxis and a taxi to town is only about 5 euros.

The restaurant was pretty good too.. nothing outstanding but decent food, pizzas and snacks, salads.. huge portions as well!

The only real negative I would say was the free wifi... it is really slow. It's fine for whatsapp or the odd email, but if you really want to surf the web or do anything fast then you are better off paying for the fast internet... 3 euros a day or 15 for a week. It is a bit sneaky to be honest, offering free wifi when it is not great, but then again, it isn't expensive to get the faster version. When we did that it was fine, we could use Skype and watch series on Netflix etc. (like I said, I wouldn't normally do that, but both of us were really quite ill and we just wanted a easy, lazy holiday)

I wouldn't particularly choose to go back to Tenerife as it is a barren island with lots of tourist resorts, but if you want winter sun, it is perfect. I would definitely go back to the resort though, I thought it was really good.

Room Tip: Apartments above the smaller pool are quieter and rooms on the top floor will have balconies without...

On arrival at the resort we were concerned about how far away from the beaches/shops/attractions it was, but on exploring the local area we found the walk to either Los Cristianos or Playa De Las Americas to be quite enjoyable (around 20 minutes to either destination).

Our room was located on the ground floor next to the pool tables. We were worried it was going to be very noisy, and initially asked if there was any possibility of changing rooms. After a couple of days we chose to stay in this room as it was great being so close to the swimming pool and we had our own seating area outside.

The rooms are spacious and clean which we really couldn't fault. After having a problem with our air conditioning leaking we found the maintenance staff were not overly helpful. My boyfriend was in the room, though we were told the problem was not fixed as no one was there! This did eventually get sorted. The 'kitchen' area in the room was far from well equipped.

The restaurant is very expensive. The full English breakfast is the only meal we paid for more than once and the buffet style BBQ was not as good as we would have hoped for the money. The bar was also very expensive and the older gentleman serving was rude!

The pool is excellent and they have a well equipped shop on site - The majority of the staff were very helpful in answering any questions we had.

stayed for 2 weeks at villa mandi with Thomson in April , the rooms are big and spacious which is good with 2 young kids how ever they are very run down things torn, tatty, a lot of ants, and bath room very mouldy and shower goes from warm to fire hot with no warning so no god for kids , our patio door didn't lock which was actioned by hotel but I had to moan and the receptionist really dos not care I had to see someone else. with recent events I did not like leaving my kids in a room unsecured so I ended sleeping on a camp bed. the pool area is nice how ever any entertainment is really poor / none existent. the maids seem to wait until they see you return to your room anytime through out the day then suddenly knock on the door to clean so you say don't bother having just got in then they get you to sign a form, not saying this lightly it happened at least 6 times in 14 days , the other days we were out all day!!!!. The food is edible but not great little choice over all a low / average 3 star hotel. wifi is poor unless you pay for extra , TV is poor unless you pay for extra , safe cost £2 per day . buyer beware. 20 minute walk into resort which I don't mind as I like the walking

Room Tip: room was quite , but shabby

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment overlooking the golf course. The apartment was spacious and clean, we really couldn't fault it.
The grounds to the hotel are lovely and well kept. The pool area is great, with plenty of sun loungers, a good atmosphere and spotless. We enjoyed the low-key day time activities around the pool.

We only stayed on a B&B basis, so only ate breakfast in the hotel. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. On offer was often left overs from the night before (fish fingers, chicken nuggets, squid rings etc), not what I'd choose for breakfast, but the kids tried them and they were very low quality. I'm pleased that we only opted for just breakfast and not half-board, as we had lots of lovely meals out in the evenings.

The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the main areas, but we didn't mind the walk and sometimes got a taxi back (about €5 or €6). The walk wouldn't put me off returning to Villa Mandi.

We only booked 2 days before, so got a good deal (about £265 each) so, comparing what we paid to what we got (including glorious sunshine!), we were very happy and would undoubtedly return. However, if the hotel is to go all inclusive then I would have reservations because it needs to up its game with regards to food quality.

Room was spacious on ground floor view from our terrace good of golf course. Staff very nice. Downside patio door locked so had to use main door when enquired was told for security reasons quite disturbing. Bus to beach twice daily only one back not till five thirty which felt not enough as this hotel is a good twenty minutes walk OK if you are young. Food was adequate but often cold so have had better. Doubt we would revisit.

Room Tip: Suggest possibly room on second floor
