Just had to pop on again and say what a fantastic second visit we had this year. First one In May half term and then we got so envious when the parents were setting off again for their 2nd visit this year that we had to join them for the last week of August. My son (7) adores the place and his face lit up when we told him we going back. He says Mama in the kitchen makes the best toasties ever and he adores George the Barman.
My other reviews posted over the years explain just why we love the place and I was so happy to see a fabulous trip advisor award for 2011 hanging in reception. So well deserved!

Stayed with our 2 sons and their families, nine of us in all. My wife and I had a double room and our sons each had a family room. All rooms were spacious and well equipped including fridges. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted. The staff are all very friendly but polite. The swimming pool is good size and well maintained. It can be a bit noisy round the pool, specially when our grandkids are there. Sorry folks, but that's what kids do when they're enjoying themselves as much as they do here. In fact the children (all girls aged from 4 to 11) won't contemplate going anywhere else for our annual family holiday.

Got back today and had to write a review. Was with a friend, both mid 20 females. It was fab! We weren't sure what it'd be like as it was a right bargain via teletext. Perhaps it was that school and college were due back but it was nice and quiet, a few noisy kids in the pool and perhaps a few loud people returning at night but nothing that'd keep you up. Staff were really nice, the food from the snack bar was divine, and you must try the milkshake!! We paid a bit extra for the safe and air con and late checkout which was a bargain! You can also use the pool at the Cleoptratra Superior and the Kris Mari, few minutes walk away...Superior was the largest pool, but uncomfortable sunbeds..Kris Mari was lovely, we used this more than the Classic as the pool at the classic is quite shady most of the time. There was a telephone in the bathroom - we have no idea why!!Local restaurants I'd recommend Yiannis, Anna's, Mano's and Alexander - which is by the sea and does curry, mexican, greek, you name it! Never ate a bad meal and most mains are approx 8 euros each. For you youngsters off on a night out -I'd recommend Status nightclub on a Friday...and there are a lot of great bars along the beach front..I'd recommend Marios, (two cocktails and 4 shots for 5 euro), and Bonkers...just for the excellent staff! The PR's are all great, although we were surprised that they generally do not budge on prices or offers like they do in other resorts we've been to. For late night snacks,You mut try Snack attack on the corner----yummmmy!! Hotel is in a great location too...not in the thick of it all but close enough!!

Just got back. Loved our holiday, had a great time. Staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly especially George and his mum. Already planning our next holiday. Hotel is very clean, facilities are good. Kids loved the swimming pool and have made a new friend "George". And Hubby loved sitting at the bar.

Having read all the reviews about the Cleopatra Classic before we went to Kos my expectations were quite high. Arriving late evening we were shown to our rooms and were pleased with the quality of the accommodation, we had an apartment for 2 adults and 2 children in the annex a few yards from the hotel. Although the beds were firm we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was included and the choice available was ok. Pool and snack bar very good just be careful not to take your own food or drink around the pool area even bottled water had to be purchased from the bar, if you do you will incur the wrath of George the Barman. The prices in the bar are very reasonable for the food but I thought the soft drinks were a little too pricey and even the beer was more expensive than the bar and restaurant over the road. The extra charges in the hotel were A/C in a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks was 100 euros, safe in room for 2 weeks 18 euros (a 2 bed room has two safes and you have a choice of hiring one or both), and keeping your room on if available on the last day was 35 euros until 2000 hrs.

Some of the apartments in the annex block were originally for self catering breaks and as such come equipped with microwave and hob etc but if you want these connecting up the hotel wanted a further 5 euros per day, you get the fridge already included but just take a travel kettle or ask at reception as we did and they supplied us with one at no extra cost. I should also mention the maid service, I don't think we have stayed anywhere particularly in the Greek islands and got such a good service, fresh towels about 5 times per week and fresh bedding about two or three times a week.

Overall the Classic is a very well run Hotel with friendly and helpful staff, clean and in a good location. My only criticism would be the bathroom we had is in need of a refurbishment clean but a little tired. We stayed in the annex in 522.

Over the road is a restaurant called the Mediterranean Sun, Out of all the restaurants we tried this was definitely the best for quality and certainly for value, however if you went about 8 to 8.30 pm you would probably have to wait a little longer than you would at home but it was worth the wait.

The Hotel was at the quiet end of Kardamena but only about a 6/7 minute walk down to the shops and bars of bar street. The beach was only a 3 minute walk but the less crowded beach at the far end of the harbour was about a fifteen minute walk. The local supermarkets are plenty and have wide differences in price so you maybe have to shop around for the best price.
