We had the most wonderful time, beach is right across the road, Australian fair is 5min drive, surf club for dinner was great and enjoyable.
My family booked 3 cabins and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Receptionist were all very friendly and super helpful. Park is situated in the perfect spot for surf.
Loved waking up to the sound of the ocean every morning.

Just got home from an awesome week away staying at the Main Beach Tourist Park. It was so good we extended our stay by two nights!

Pros-

Location- right across the road from the beach and not too long a walk to a great little cafe. Close enough if you’re feeling up for a stroll you can walk to Surfers Paradise but not close enough that you get inundated with traffic or lots of noise.

Amenities- well maintained facilities (especially the bathrooms these were always spotless!) and the camp kitchens were well appointed and having two makes it easy to avoid peak dinner time rush hour. The pool is a good size and was always nice and clean with big shade sails that make the pool useable all day.

Staff- front desk staff always polite and super helpful- great to go somewhere where staff actually seem happy to be at work!

Now for the cons and to be fair this is going to be a very short list and it’s not a reflection on the park itself but more the inconsiderate guests.

Security- the toilet block is quite clearly labeled with entry and exit signs- enter on one side of the building and exit on the other- not a difficult concept. Also, to enter the block requires a security code for access. However throughout the duration of our stay I think I entered the code less than half a dozen times, and had multiple collisions with individuals who because their vans were located on the entry side of the block found it in easier to exit on that side as well. The entry and exit thing isn’t a big deal but just frustrating when it’s clearly sign posted. The key code issue is another matter. I found it quite disconcerting being a female having to go to toilet block in the early hours of the morning in the dark when the door hasn’t been securely locked and has been left ajar. I feel this could be fixed easily by adjusting the door to close more firmly so it latches, prompting codes to have be entered more frequently. We also found it wasn’t only the female facilities- my husband found that the exit door from the male side of the block was propped open to allow entry to guests located on that particular side of the building. This, as I mentioned isn’t really on the park, but on lazy entitled guests who think the rules don’t apply to them.

Overall a great park, in a great spot with plenty to offer.

Already looking forward to our next visit.

Best location , straight across to road to Main Beach beautiful beach and Southport Life Saving Club.
Quiet well run park with good facilities for all ages. Would highly recommend for a great holiday on Gold Coast.
