stayed at the lovely karras for my first ever holiday with my girlfriends and all other school leavers for our first summer break together! other groups stayed at different hotels but we thought ours was by far the best! rooms were clean and tidied at least 3 times during the week, would have liked them to be a bit more spacious but they had the basics so we were pleased. shared a room with my boyfriend, had single beds so would have liked a double but you cant have everything! pool was lovely and so was the snack bar- there wasnt much entertainment at the hotel but we were so close to the main strip that we didnt even think to use it! staff were lovely and helpful, 24hr reception was fab especially when we all rolled in at 6am!! we hired quadbikes which we could park outside and 2 supermarkets were literally 100m opposite the hotel. close to all restaurants and bars, a bit of a walk to the beach but we didnt really go there much, overall had an AMAZING holiday and would highly recommend Karras to anyone wanting a fab location and a gorgeous sunny holiday on the lovely island of Zanteeeeeeee!! will def be returning!

Room Tip: first floor would be better, we were ground floor and didnt have much of a view!! was nice tho as all our friends were ground floor so that made it more fun :)

I stayed in Hotel Karras two weeks from the end of the season this year with a friend for a girly holiday and we weren’t disappointed. Hotel Karras is perfect if you want to be close enough to the town, but also seek a relaxed quiet hotel.

The hotel is clean and basic and holds a perfect base to explore the island of Zante and Laganas Town. The airport is only 15 minutes transfer away. Within a 5 minute walk you’ll be on the beach and have selection of restaurants and supermarkets on your doorstep. The main strip is only 10 minutes walk away giving you access to all the bars and clubs where the atmosphere is electrified with neon lights and as many drinks as you can get for €5!

The hotel is classed as self catering, however if you’re intending on cooking whilst you there it’s worth asking reception for extra cutlery and equipment, and they’ll happily assist with your request. The staff are very friendly and the reception is open 24 hours, which was especially helpful when you find a gecko in your room late at night! Linens and towels were changed regularly too and the bins were changed every day.

The pool area is clean and there’s enough sunbeds for everyone. The pool bar is great and Spiros will look after you and often has football playing in the bar, so you won’t miss a match anything whilst you’re away.

Whilst you’re there it’s worth visiting Zante Town which was €15 in a taxi. The bus times were a bit random, however if you want to try and catch the bus, the stop is just around the corner from the hotel. Zante Town is sprinkled with cultural buildings and churches and holds a variety of shops, restaurants and little coffee shops where you can sit and watch the world go by.

Most of all the resort is pleasant and the locals will make you feel like you’re their long lost relative. This was my first time visiting Zante and I hope to visit there again soon for another perfect holiday.

A group of 7 of us stayed in the Karras Hotel end of June start of July and couldnt really fault it at all. The staff during the day were friendly and Spiros the owner of the hotel bar would do anything for you, it is a bit pricey for drinks (cocktails, kopparburg, Corona) but if you buy enough and have a laugh with Spiros for the fisrt day or two he will sort you out with deals and cheap/free shots for you.

The pool area is good and there were always plenty of sunbeds even if you arent up at the crack of dawn, when we stayed there we got on with most people as everyone was there for the same reasons and around the same age.

The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need for a lads holiday away, Bed, Shower, FRIDGE, Kettle and a few extras TV even though no English channels, hairdryer. The balcony is spacious and we got 7 chairs and a table on every night. There were 6 rooms which were detatched from the rest of the complex were we stayed which means you couldnt here much going on in the rest of the hotel. We didnt have any problems with anything broken when we arrived and the room was always clean and the maids got rid of all rubbish and even folded any clothes you left on the floor and the money from the night before was still in the pockets.

The only real issue we had was that the main strip was about 15 minutes walk away and if you walk along the main roads you got hounded at every bar and restaurant which is to be expected, a taxi is only 6 Euros from the hotel to the strip though. There is a shop about 40 metres down the road from the hotel on the right where we went to everyday.

I would recommend paying the 170 Euros for all the events, we thought it was well worth the money. The Silent Disco and Booze Cruise were the best two events. Watch out on your way back in off a night out as reception do not tolerate any noise.

The strip itself was about half a mile long with bars and clubs on each side, Zeros, Rescue, Linekers, Waikiki and Cherry Bay which is open till 6am if you can last all day and all night.

I would definitely go back to Zante for another lads holiday and would stay in the Karras again as it had everything you needed and was excellent vale for money as we only paid £380 for the week.

Rooms are located approx 700metres from the nightlifewere. Rooms very spacious and quiet at night time, local to all amenities - beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Recommend Avanti & Appolon restaurants and beach restaurant Horizon which also have free sunbeds all day. Local to airport but unable to hear aircraft during night time. Transfer taxi is approx 17 euro and about 15minutues away from Karras Hotel. Locals very helpful and friendly.

Stayed there last September and the appartments were small and basic. The pool area had loads of loungers as i think most people went explring during the day and the beach is just down the road. I was one of the best holidays because of the pool bar, we got to know everyone there and it really did make the holiday.
There are a few very nice restaurants around the corner and we hired quad bikes and travelled around the island a bit and went to other beaches that do water sports. The locals were very friendly too. I recommend this place but not for the rooms.
