Me and my fiancé wanted a nice quiet week away and having not been their before, we decided to go to Kamari.

From start to finish the whole experience was amazing and a lot more than what we had expected it to be. where to start!

Firstly the island itself is a hidden gem and there was plenty to do but we would not have know what to do without the staff at the hotel and local residents and other restaurants owners. Every member of staff was so helpful and done everything in their power to help where they could!

The views were amazing and the sunset is a must sea! We went to Pyrgos, Francos cafe in the castle on the hill and we sat on the roof top bar which looked like the highest point of the island and what an amazing experience it was, words cannot describe the sunset!

The hotel is beautifully situated by the beach and there are plenty of places to eat and drink! The rooms were cleaned everyday providing fresh towels and bedding!

The food was amazing everywhere we went and there was plenty to choose from!

I could carry on and on but overall it was an amazing experience and we will definitely be back again soon!

Thank you very much for everything !

Stayed B and B. Clearly this was once two different hotels and in some ways it still operates like that. The Afrodite part acts as the main entrance and reception area and has the eating area where you have breakfast as well as the pool and pool bar. The Venus faces the beach, you can see where the reception once was. It has a modern well furnished bar area and a restaurant just over the path which leads to the sea. The beach has luxury sunbeds and umbrellas for guests but you cannot leave your sunbed for over an hour and bringing you own food and drink is a no no, there is a lady who looks after you and will bring you a drink or food to your sunbed. The Venus bar also gives gusts a 10% discount off food and drink. The Venus also has a small spa and a small pool behind the bar area. The main pool is in the Afrodite, there were plenty of sunbeds but the pool bar does not offer guests a discount. The resturant here resembles transport cafe furnished with black and white plastic tables and chairs nothing like the furnishings in the Venus eating area. Breakfasts were ok with a decent choice and some unusual thinks on the menu at times (sausage roll, pizzas, brocolli in batter) Our room was fine with aircon and a safe and fridge, the balcony was small but adequate for us. Although we had requested a sea or pool view we ended up with a view of a wall above a walkway although the plus side was it was quiet. The position of the hotel is brilliant literally seconds from the beach and the bars and restaurants. One gripe is that we requested one of the rooms to be kept on as we had a late flght and kept getting fobbed off (told to return and enquire three times) until told on the morning of our departure that it was not possible, I think the hotel surely must have known this earlier, however this was only a minor inconvenience although it did cause a last minute rush to finish packing.

Room Tip: You can try to request sea views etc but you get what you are given. All the guests around us were British

We had a lovely stay in October 2016. Our room was great and the staff was pleasant and helpful. There is an outdoor pool in the central courtyard and we had a view of the sunrise from our window each morning.

We went here for a week and though it was a good price, but as usual, you get what you pay for. It's good breakfast, nice surroundings, nice staff and really organized for travelling at Santorini. But the rooms were very runned down, had a lot of bugs and the beds were horrible.

Me and my partner (25&27) stayed at this hotel B&B first week in September 16. I cannot fault this hotel what so ever. I emailed the hotel a week before requesting a pool view room and that's what we got. It was on the ground floor right next to the pool bar and stairs to the reception, at first we though oh no this is going to be a nightmare for noise - much to our shock we didn't hear a thing! The view from the balcony was lovely. The pool area is beautiful and sunbeds so comfortable. Our room was huge, big king size bed and the bathroom was modern also. Breakfast was delish always a range to choose from. Staff were always friendly and helpful - specially the guy on the reception (sorry didn't get his name) always helped us out when we were looking to explore.

We never went on the beach so cannot comment on that however it looked decent and plenty of comfy beds, just make sure to take beach shoes as its stoney/rocky.To head out of the hotel head the back way towards the beach this is where kamari strip is full of restaurants (few bars), to the right isn't much of a walk, but left head down is where most shops/bars/restaurants are. We had some amazing food whilst here so if your staying all inclusive you will certainly be missing out. Nightlife we were expecting a bit more as it was quite quiet - we loved the albatross bar - best music, great atmosphere, cocktails are great (and strong) and the bar itself is nice.

We only stayed for a week and to be honest that was long enough as you can cover the whole island in a day. We were meant to get a quad and go round the island but woke up rather hung-over so missed out but I would definitely recommend - it was only going to be 30 euros for the day. We broke our week up by going to Fira one day then again on a night time a different night, Oia one day - didn't go back on a night time, and we did the Santos Winery one evening for the sunset. All accessed by the local bus which was 3.80 return pp - they do get crammed so you will have to push your way on, but very easy to do. When you go to Fira to get to the part where you see on pictures, literally come out of the station turn right head up the bank and keep going - we made a mistake of turning right at the road. If you go to Oia by local bus you will have to change at Fira - this bus gets way packed and is long if you end up having to stand but better than paying taxi fair. All places we went to were breath taking in their own ways. We went to Fira quite early, got there for about 6:30pm the sun was only starting to lower, but im pleased we went early as we got the most perfect spot to sit and have a drink and food - once you get a seat with a great view - do not move!! Fira at night was great too plenty more bars than Kamari but I wouldn't stay here personally, too many tourists and very busy - I think if you did you would have to stay in one of the hotels with the incredible view in front of you. Also if you do stay there I think you take it for granted, each time we went it was as good as the first. Oia was great too, extremely busy so walking through the thin cobbly streets was abit annoying trying to squeeze past folks. I was a little disappointed with Oia I was expecting more white buildings with the blue roofs. Still loved it but Fira was the better one for me. Santos Winery was incredible! The view, the wine everything. I would recommend emailing a week in advance and booking a table at the front to watch the sunset otherwise they have 3 rows of tables and you could be at the back, also take a small jacket for later as it is windy with it being high up.

All in all had the best week ever here in Kamari - so far the best holiday I've ever had it is as incredible as pictures.
