This was not our first trip to Santorini, previously staying in hotels in both Perissa and Kamari, but this was the best place we had stayed in here.

Santa Elena is both appealing from the outside, with a lovely pool area and nice garden, and the inside. Its easy to find; just off the main road into Kamari, near the outdoor cinema. There is ample parking to the side of the hotel. The light and airy reception is also where the breakfast is served and where we were met by the lovely owner, Sofia who is both welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is small and typically low rise with the rooms on the first and second floors being accessed by stairs. Our rooms were on the first floor with balcony that had views over the garden and pool. They were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers and rooms also have a small fridge. The shower was powerful and hot and the beds comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided each day along with shower gel and shampoo.

Breakfast was the usual buffet style with fresh tea and coffee and the added bonus of homemade goodies such as cheese pies and cream pies!

It's a 10 minute stroll into the town with it's many shops, restaurants, bars and of course the pebble beach, equipped with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas.

The hotel is not far from the airport and so there is some noise from the planes taking off but don't be put off by this minor downside.

We highly recommend this hotel and if we visit again will definitely be staying here!

Room Tip: first and second floor rooms have best views but if stairs are an issue there are rooms on the ground floor too

A lovely hotel in a great location. Immaculately clean with a nice pool. Best of all was the service. I cannot speak more highly of Sophia and the team. They were so friendly and welcoming, it was like staying with friends as opposed to a hotel. Thank you so much and I will see you soon!

My wife and I stayed for one night on our way to Ios last month. We found the place very clean and nice with what looked to be a beautiful pool (which unfortunately we didn't have the chance to try out). Sofia was extremely courteous and helpful, and organised transport both from the airport to the hotel and on the next day from the hotel to the ferry port. A lovely place to stay and a short 10 min walk to the main Kamari beach with a wide choice of bars and restaurants. We would would love to come back for a longer stay.
