We were here for only a few days for a conference. The hotel has undergone major renovations and is modern and bright. Rooms were well appointed and while we had rooms on the executive levels they were spacious with partial ocean views (it is set back from the beach).

We ate at the buffet but did prefer breakfast at the cafe.

Pacific Fair is a short walk across the toad with access to major department stores. It is about 45 minutes from Coolangatta airport.

Attended this venue across three days of conferencing. The food supplied was top notch. Rooms were more than adequate. Staff was friendly and quick to say hello. Their capacity to provide a top quality conference experience was very good. Good location, made for some easy local sight seeing.

the rooms were top notch for the price paid, although the star was undergoing renovations it was still a good facility.
the room for the concert was good and the food in the various eateries was good value.

Check-in was quick and room was great. It was disappointing to return to room at night after a day of seminars to find that there were no milk pods in the fridge on 2 occasions.
Also found pine morning after being into shower that they had not replaced the almost empty shampoo, conditioner etc. A real problem when already wet. Thank goodness for the bar of soap.
The water that was served at the dinners stunk of chlorine and was awful. It is appalling that they could not filter drinking water to remove taste and odour.
Extremely disappointing.

The room was clean and tidy
Awesome views
Great food and alcoholic beverages
Excellent entertainment
Gambling everywhere
Friendly staff
Good restaurant
Definitely recommend to see and do
2 minutes walk from Dracula’s night vlub
