“A wonderful place to stay”
Reviewed 28 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We really loved our stay in Tick Tock. My family (2 Adults 2 Children) felt at home straight away. The Bedrooms are a decent size and downstairs is laid out well and comfy. The kids loved the Sky TV. Baslow is a lovely quiet village with some great views. The cottage is situated well for travel around the Peak district. Angus (Owner) is very relaxed and easy to talk to. He is also a very good painter/Photographer. We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time away from the cottage, We looked forward to getting back to the cottage after long days out, sometimes being greeted by Colin the cat :-)

“Perfect place to stay.”
Reviewed 19 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

A beautiful cottage set in a lovely village near to Chatsworth and Bakewell. The cottage is gorgeous, open plan downstairs and two lovely bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need. There is a lovely comfy sitting area with full sky tv package and a lovely view down the drive to the hills on the other side of the valley. Beds are very comfortable and you don't need to bring towels with you as there are loads supplied. In a great area with lots of places to visit. Highly recommended.

“Perfect Peak Getaway”
Reviewed 26 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

A lovely spot close to Curbar Edge within easy reach of all amenities, tourist spots and Bakewell.
Arrived to fresh milk, cheese and yummy Bakewell pudding, the cottage is light and spacious with open plan downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for a holiday, it has full sky TV for any rainy days and free unlimited wifi.
The bedrooms are large and comfortable, with plenty of storage space, lots of soft towels provided and fresh bed linen. There is a nice shower (with unlimited hot water) and heating when you need it.
The walks around Bakewell are fantastic, good choice of local food, a great place for a holiday. Visit Chartsworth, Haddon Hall and Hardwick Hall for great days out.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 2 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

This is our 3rd visit to Tick Tock cottage and I am sure we will be back. Lovely quiet scenic location. Very well equipped, warm and comfortable. The beds and bedroom are a good size and downstairs is lovely open planned so even when cooking we are all together. We always relax and re-charge when we come to Tick Tock. Angus is really smashing, there if you need him but does not bother you. My 2 children always look forward to coming back.

“WELL EQUIPPED COTTAGE”
Reviewed 14 January 2015 for a stay in December 2014

We stayed in this very well equipped cottage over the New Year period, it has everything you could possibly need and more, a real home from home. There is ample room for four people with an open plan area downstairs and 2 roomy bedrooms upstairs. The beds are comfortable with good quality bed linen and there are plenty of decent sized towels. It's in a quiet location with walks from the door and it's within walking distance of the Chatsworth estate and house. There are several pubs, restaurants and a café in Baslow so not far to walk for a meal or a coffee. The only disappointment was that the cottage is on the same plot as the owners house and visitors are unable to park outside the cottage to unload as the owner parks on the drive, however we were helped with our luggage and the owner was very respectful of our privacy and we'd certainly visit again during the colder months.
