It is recommended to reserve before. The Paella is obviously coupled with a reservation. So we were not allowed to had a paella even if there were no pans in use, when we took a look inside the kitchen after two hours of visiting the restaurant.
We ordered a mixed salad as starter and fried mixed fish for the main course. Unfortunately the main course came just 5 minutes after the salad, so it was cold when we started. During the meal I found a part of a - I guess - sponge in my mouth. There came no sorry, no drink or coffee from the restaurants side.
Due to the fact that the ratings are usually good, it was not one the best days of the restaurant.

Nice Tapas.....yeuk service.....more interested in sticking to their silly spanish rules about kitchen closing times than providing a good service.Should sack their waitress....and try and remember....it is THE CUSTOMER THAT PAYS THE BILLS....arrogant...ineffective service...shame...because the food is quite good

Visited for a quick bite to eat on a recent trip to the area after seeing the good reviews and have to say we were disappointed.
The decor and surroundings were nice but we were not warmly received. We were seated then told we had to order in the next 5 minutes as the kitchen was closing. I had infact emailed to book a table but they never responded. The waitress was was not at all friendly and when my husband clearly ordered a beer she frowned and made out she couldn't understand. I stepped in after 3 attempts.
The food was ok but honestly just OK, nothing amazing. Calamari and fried cod. Overpriced for average food.
Maybe we chose the wrong dishes and received a less than welcoming reception as they were closing but can't say we'll be in a rush to return.

This is a lovely restaurant overlooking the beach on the promenade between Vera Playa and Garrucha. It is not easily accessible but it is well worth the walk. It's a great place to relax after any exertion. Very well decorated, clean and modern. Call in at lunchtime for drinks and wonderful tapas, or try the excellent, mainly fish-based menu. The meals are so well presented with plenty of variety and complementary flavours, and are reasonably priced. Good selection of wine. The staff are friendly, very professional and helpful, ensuring that customers have a great dining experience.

we have used this restaurant over a period of 3 years, they have recently carried out a complete refurb. decor is excellent, but only comment i would make is that since re-furb, you can only have tapas inside. previously it was half and half ie tapas one side and full menu other side. I dont know about other sunworshipers but i like to sit outside if i am out in the sun. so would prefer it a bit like before a few tables outside for tapas diners. But once you try their tapas you will be glad you visied this establishment. food is superb.
