Very comfy bed. Good speed WiFi. Big soft very fluffy towels. Good shower. Large bathroom. Big TV. Breakfast cooked to order and a good selection of breads and juice. Jura coffee machine at breakfast. Complimentary bottled water and Walkers biscuits.
So that ticks every business traveller wish list. It’s an older hotel and definitely not a cool boutique residence but I had a much better stay than I recently did at Champneys in Henlow

This was our third stay at this Hotel and it is lovely to go back. It is convenient for HItchin and surrounding area. The rooms are large and comfortable and `everything works`!
Breakfast is varied and delicious and the bar area is welcolming.

I stayed for one night to attend a friend's 50th birthday. I found the room to be cosy and comfortable and fine for an overnight stop. The only problem I had was a slightly dodgy kettle that took a while to start working but once it had worked once it seemed fine.

My friend and I stayed here over night for work and were pleasantly surprised by the place. While it's very old fashioned, I cannot fault the cleanliness of our rooms or the friendliness of the staff. As we knew we would not be able to check in during their 'opening hours' we were told that it would be no problem at all to check in early, collect our keys and dump our bags.
Unfortunately we missed breakfast (as we didn't get back from work until very late) but instead had breakfast and a walk in the nice little town of Hitchin.
Would definitely recommend the Firs if youre here for a short break in the area.

We had a wonderful time at the FIRS. We would recommend the FIRS to family and friends. Very good breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and cozy. Hotel is located in a good spot near train station and shopping.

Firs Hotel is Located close to Hitchin Town Centre - free parking a bonus - the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.The Breakfast was very good quality, staff were friendly and efficient.will definitely be returning soon
