This is lovely little place ... and I mean little .. 30 seats maybe .. if you want a close hands on feel this is the place for you.. our kids first panto, who were 4 at the time, more importantly they let our little one in to sit on my lap he was 10 months at the time, a lot of places wont do that on the say so of a parent telling you their kid is chilled out but they took my word for it ..which made our lives easier, hey it was panto and as you can see im still singing the song, what's not to love !... why 4 stars .. no parking..

Been to the last 3 pantos, but first review. All of them were brilliant. The clue is adult - great innuendos and fabulous acting from the 3 cast members. always packed at christmas and a good atmosphere. Will be back again this year, and will check out the others shows too. Highly recommended

This tiny theatre is the nearest Hitchin has to an Edinburgh fringe venue. The plays we've seen - Halloween thrillers or adult panto have been an hour long , fringe style rather than a full evening, so you have time to go for dinner afterwards. There is a Wetherspoons next door which is handy for pre theatre drinks - the theatre has a small upstairs bar .
The theatre is quite scruffy, casts are small and props are minimal but the energy and professionalism of the young cast makes up for it.

The Hitchin market theatre is small however it offers an amazing high level standard of acting. Plays varies from whodunnits to historic biographies with the legendary adult Panto which will surely have you in stitches.

The comedians are fun and of high caliber and it's always a treat to attend an evening there. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere mostly locals so very friendly so good to visit occasionally. Weekenders in summer months played in the car park is good afternoon fun.
