I have spent part of the last ten winters in Bucerias. My wife and I eat out regularly. At one time or another we have eaten at every beach restaurant. Adauto's is the best. It offers a nice indoor area raised about ten feet from the level of the beach, but overlooking it, or you can sit under the thatched palapa directly on the beach and wiggle your toes in the sand while you eat. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. It is pleasantly lit without harsh lighting. The service is prompt and attentive and friendly and English is spoken. The drinks are honest drinks and not like some restaurants where you wonder if there is any tequila in the margarita. The menu offers a range of dishes with an emphasis on Mexican and seafood, but including curries, steaks, and barbecue. I have never had anything there i did not truly enjoy.
There is a row of beachfront restaurants in Bucerias, and I know that different people have different favorites. I have eaten, at one time or another, in every one of them and none of them, overall, measure up to Adauto's. It may have been very slow service, overcooked seafood, weak drinks, high prices, etc. But when we go to the beach restaurant row, we don't consider any of the others at all.
