Very well kept clean and tidy site. Nice hot showers and other facilities. If you're camping it's about 3-5 minute walk to toilet block which for some I imagine is quite far. They could do with at least another smaller block up the top end. Well located for the coast and in land walks though and reasonable prices. Lovely pub less than 10 minute walk away (see other review). Take plenty of food and drink as local shop not well stocked although they do bake a good quiche.

It's lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay with us - thank you for your comments. Sounds like I'll have to visit the village shop for a quiche!

Look forward to seeing you again one day,

Beki & Damian

We've been coming here in our tourer for a number of years and never grow tired of it. There's just something wonderfully welcoming & peaceful about the place. The site is immaculately kept & despite the horrendous rain leading up to Easter the ground was well drained. The shower blocks are always clean and there's a lovely little park for the kids. The owners are so nice and are always on hand to give advice on places to go, eating out etc. Both them and their daughters give the site a fantasy family atmosphere.
Theres a nice pub only a few minutes walk away and there's also some nice cycle routes/walks from the site.
Pitch sizes are very generous which is something I always find a bonus. It's the kind of site that caravanning was meant for. Don't ever change.

We've just returned from our second visit to this site and it's always great.

The welcome from the owners is always friendly and whilst we've never had to call upon their services for a problem, I wouldn't hesitate to ask.

We are campers so turn up early and get the pitch you like. It can get busy (weekend of 26/27 May) but I found all the 'tenents' to be friendly and courteous.

Yes the toilets are a short walk but from some reviews you'd think it was an expedition. Nothing of the sort.

It's a good, clean, and very well run site. The owner can be seen patrolling the site and noise was pretty good considering how busy it was. The weather was a bonus too!

Lots of walks nearby. The Grapes pub is decent.

Highly recommended.

The caravan we stayed in was lovely. It was filled with everything we needed in the kit hen and was clean. The shower was one of the best I have tried in any caravan.
The site is immaculate and very well tended by staff. It is quiet and it suited us that there was very little on the site.
There is a cafe selling home baking and a pub doing meals nearby as well as a small shop. The reception shop has a few things but the site is central to larger market towns for supermarkets.

We stayed at the site for 5 nights in order to be near Castle Howard and other local attractions. The site is very well kept, with superb facilities; virtually all touring pitches are fully serviced (EHU, fresh water and grey waste). The owner, Beki, is very helpful, even finding and printing walking routes for us when we casually mentioned walking/cycling in the area.

One thing to note is that the entrance to the site is on the Malton to Helmsley road (B1257), and not in Green Dyke Lane (don't follow Satnav)!

The village of Slingsby is picturesque, with many Yorkshire stone cottages. It has limited facilities - a village store, The Grapes Inn (excellent food) and two churches; there are a few more facilities in nearby Hovingham. There is a bus service every two hours from the village Green to Malton, from where you can get either buses to other locations or trains to Scarborough/York-Leeds.

Nearby Castle Howard (3m / 5km from the site) is well worth a visit. Tip: book online at least a day before your visit to save 10% on the admission price.
