Excellent accommodation and helpful friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone and plan a return visit soon. The restaurant has excellent food and the breakfast is quality. Really enjoyed the range of fresh juice blends on offer :-)

We as a family had a few free days and wanted to explore the east of the country a bit more. We wanted to visit the Kildare area (including National Stud, The Curragh, etc). Chose Kildare town as a starting point. It was a wee bit difficult to find a place to keep two adults & two teenage kids in the one place. Silken Thomas came up as an option.
This was a very good choice indeed. Not truly a hotel, but a nice pub/restaurant that has quite a good collection of well furnished rooms. Our room was very well appointed, comfortable, quiet & relaxing.
We ate in the pub & food was excellent.
Service from both the management & the serving staff was excellent.

Friendly staff, comfortable accommodation and good food. A delightful stay in a great town. Staff were excellent and could not be more helpful. Bar was busy but staff were attentive and took care of us well.

Bar food was nice, location is right in the town, pillows/bed were really hard which isnt my preference, tv was tiny, place is grand if you need a cheap place to sleep for a few hours after a night out etc

Stayed: November 2017, travelled on business

Second time staying here and once again another lovely stay. Great atmosphere in the bar, great food for breakfast and comfy and warm bedrooms. All the staff have been kind and helpful everytime too. Hopefully we'll be back again next year!
