As a local, I was happy to stay at the hotel in low season. Minimal tourists made for peaceful times! Obed the GM was gracious enough to check me in early, even after my VERY last minute booking. Owner Riccardo is warm and helpful in every way. My room was clean, cozy and very comfortable. The pillows were sublime, and hot water too boot! The communal areas were kept very neat, daily yoga on-site is convenient, and the WIFI was solid.

We enjoyed staying at the Living Hotel. There were not many other people so we had the pool and yoga space to ourselves a lot. The howler monkeys were in the trees right outside our rooms and we loved seeing them and hearing them. It made us feel like we were in the jungle. The beach was about a 10 minute walk and the ocean was lovely. At the end of the beach was a trail that lead to the next beach where we ate at La Luna several times. There were also lots of places to eat around the hotel and Rosie's Tico was great for breakfast.

The rooms are fairly simple and clean, a little small but comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: The area for yoga was great and we had it to ourselves every morning early for meditation

We stayed here for one night only as the bed was so uncomfortable. One side of the bed sank and we hardly slept :(
Unfortunately the bed/ small room let the place down for us and so
We left early.
We had discounted low season rates of $80 but even so we were disappointed.
The grounds of the property and pool are beautiful and the
Eco cafe at the front of the property was great.

Overall the hotel is pretty and comfortable. The little food stand has some seriously amazing food, when it is open. The pool was nice and it was about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean.

I visited Living Hotel as a secondary option as the place I used to go was closed... I must say that I would have liked to be a client from them since before!

The hotel has a great location near the beach, restaurants and mini markets, the room was nice and clean, you can tell that they invest on maintenance and also like to take care of the clients... The service was good, the pool is very nice and the shared areas beautiful. There is a shared kitchen very well equipped and that is always organized and clean... The hotel has a recycling program too so trash is always separated.

Fresh coffee is given for free daily (help yourself style) an even thou the parking space is small, it fits all cars well. You can take your own food and prepare it at the shared kitchen... they usually charge $5 per day if you want to use it but depending on the reservation you made, they might give it for free. Ask the staff members when you reserve.
