Perfect location, great owners welcomed us like family. While the Moana is in the ideal Guiones location, it is tucked away, yet still has its own private beach access. The owners welcomed us like family. The resort is perfectly maintained. The rooms are clean, modern, and have super comfortable beds. It is worth every penny!

My husband and I spent a week at Moana in January. I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about our stay at this resort. It is located oceanfront in a very convenient part of town. It was an easy walk to many restaurants, bars and a small market. The beach was beautiful and provided consistent surf every day. After our daily sunrise surf sessions, a buffet style breakfast was served every morning. Breakfast was fresh, healthy and the selections changed every day. The large number of staff (housekeepers, groundskeepers, etc) kept the resort grounds and room in pristine condition. The owners, Dani and Tali, consistently asked if there was anything additional we needed. They strove to make sure our every wish was fulfilled. The property was extremely safe with gated entries and staff/owners always present. The pool area was a dream. It was filled with comfortable seating areas, hammocks, serene music and mixed areas of sun and shade. We will definitely be returning to Moana Surf Resort for another visit.

We had a great time at Moana! My husband and 2 children were surfing and I was taking yoga classes. We stayed in a very comfortable apartment, with one bedroom and 2 beds on the living room (apart from the sofas). The kitchen is very well equipped to cook if you want. You are as close to the beach as possible. In front of the resort you have great waves to surf. They have a tend on the beach and beach chairs (something that you don't see often in Costa Rica!). The breakfast is super healthy and varies every day. The owners lived there and they are great! Even their 2 children are super nice and invited my children to play beach soccer with them. You can walk to nice restaurants. Alejandro and Kailer were great surf teachers for my children. And everymorning there are yoga classes with great teachers. There is a nice pool and you can borrow surf boards. Overall it was a great family vacation for all of us!!

Looking for a super comfortable, stylish small hotel on the beach with surfing, yoga and wonderful people in Nosara? Well, you found it! We were so fortunate to stay with Tali and Dani, the owners, in January of 2018 and have already booked our return-that is how special it is here at Moana Surf Resort in Nosara! The photos do not do the hotel justice. There are many places to hang out: beachside, pool side, the outdoor lounge, the restaurant area; the upper "tree house like" open air yoga studio-you name it. All super chic and comfortable with perfect lighting and soft music in the background. Yoga is included and each instructor is incredibly kind and talented. And if surfing is your thing, well you found NIRVANA. And if you are a beginner, you are in the best care as Alesandro and his friends will get you after those waves no matter your age or fitness level. The rooms are incredible-like a 4.5 star hotel but with total sense of place-no generic junk here. The beds are super. And the breakfasts are sheer perfection: fresh juices; healthy baked items; eggs; cereals; fruit-you name it. NOTHING HAS BEEN OVERLOOKED. My husband and I stayed in the guest cottage called Luna with friends, and you could not ask for a better place to hang out. Many restaurants and cafes are walking distance; and the owners will arrange anything for you, as they truly go out of there way for all of their guests. We went fishing and caught a red snapper so they set up a grill for us and let us raid their kitchen-how is that for service and care? So if an authentic, inspiring AND luxurious escape is what you crave, that is also intimate and personal, then go to Moana...And totally let go...but do not worry, the entire team will be there to catch you with caring hands and open hearts.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms here-it is so intimate and on the beach.

We stayed at the Moana in the Bambu Suite and what a pleasant surprise. From the moment we walked through the front gate, we were taken to paradise on earth. Alejandro was such a great help, he heard our car door close and came out to help with our bags and then took us to our room. The owners were wonderful people as where their two sons. Great home made breakfast every day, in their open air breakfast bar area and the pool area was very relaxing. This hotel has the closest access to the beach along with offering surf lessons, yoga and messages if needed. There are restaurants within walking distance and the hotel is more than happy to help you with dinner reservations if necessary. Each suite also has a kitchen and refrigerator so if you want to make your own meals that is not a problem. Which is nice if you want to have a lunch in and only go out for dinner like we did. The Nosara beach is great and the vibe of the hotel matches that of Nosara, easy and relaxed. All in all a wonderful surprise and we can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Closest to the beach
