On my trip to Mauritius earlier this year, I was told to visit Casela Park and it was a lovely experience.

Beautiful is a understatement. The park is huge and there is lot of walking to do. We were given a simple map and told where all the site seeings were. So there are many different wild life birds enclosures, a tortoise park, a giraffe park where you can feed the giraffe and many other attractions . For kids, there is rabbit and goat area as well.

And the highlight of the park is the quad biking for which you need to pay an extra amount.

The quad biking experience was mind blowing and the tour guide took us to the interior of the park and it was simple scenic. We got to see ostriches, zebras, deers and other wild animals.

There is also a lion enclosure which was closed on sundays but you can see them for far. There are some adventure game activities.

However, the food is very expensive and choice is limited. But it is a place worth going and do not miss the quad bike ride.

I didn’t have enough time to see the bird sanctuary, or the hippos etc... but there is so much to see, budget a whole day especially if you want to go to the adventure park, they take forever to serve at the main restaurant so perhaps don’t do lunch if u are in a hurry. 9-2:30pm was not enough time.

The quad biking was amazing as we travelled through the animal pens on the quads which was mind blowing . I managed to stroke a Zebra which is an experience I will never forget. We took the 2 hour quad tour & had great fun going around the park which no one else experiences unless on the quads . The terrain is really tough & lots off rocky terrain which was great fun. We experienced some amazing views and going through the animal park watching the animals is an amazing experience . The quad bikes are really comfortable and able to cope with this off road experience . Well worth having the 2 hour quad experience as really cover some ground & a full 2 hour experience. You can also purchase pictures at the end of the tour & USB sticks with videos.

Had a great if short time here, we only had 2 hours in the park due to being part of a full day excursion. I would highly recommend a visit!
We experienced the safari & close encounters with a giraffe, fed an ostrich & zebra. Walked with free-roaming giant tortoises & saw white lions. The park is still being developed & will be a fantastic place to experience wildlife.
You can pay to walk with the lions & enter their enclosure for a close encounter which involves stroking the lions, an amazing experience (adults only).
Quad bikes are on offer to drive through the acres & acres of land to see animals in a more natural environment. Lots of activities on offer, we would've liked to revisit if we had the time.

Great park as close as you will get to Africa on the Isle of Mauritius. Getting into the park was very slow with queues of people and only 2 cashiers working but plenty of supervisors watching! Once inside the entrance one could walk at a leisurely pace . We spent about 5 hours at the park and had a great experience . Would like to see giraffe released into the bigger reserve and also to see the introduction of warthog and wild dogs too. The walk with the lions is not what the lions wan to do. They are active when they are hungry and want to lie in the sun and rest rather walk around a fenced square. Just my opinion.
