Friendly staff, very good weather, it has a big pool. The food is good, we had a nice panoramic view with Dia island from the balcony.
Has a private beach and it is not so crouded.
Only stayed one night, because we we’re booked in an other hotel.

4 stars for location, cleanliness, comfort, spacious room, and the very accommodating staff. We arrived 15th October around 11.15pm for our very reasonably priced birthday trip. Lovely man on reception took our details then said you want to eat and drink? Surprised by this offer, he ushered us to the restaurant where plates of food with access to drinks, very very appreciated at such a late hour, and while not the Ritz it was tasty and filling and very kind. When we went back to reception we were taken to our room which clearly had been upgraded as it was huge with a double and 2 single beds. Loads of clean towels and spotless sheets with a small balcony overlooking the pool, plenty of storage. There are a few issues such as Greek plumbing! but to be honest it really didn't spoil our visit. It was my first time in Greece and I wanted authentic, and yes maybe a little rustic as I can get plastic perfection at Premier Inn around the corner from where I live. Everything about the location and the people there is perfect in our eyes.
Yes the food can be a little repetitive, and the lack of queuing etiquette but the freshly baked bread at every meal we had always planned to eat out in the evenings as part of our treat, but had we been on a tighter budget then everything was tasty. All Inclusive drinks, enough has been said by others, but again a swift beer or wine with lunch was fine. When we left we had a late flight as well and we were allowed to keep our room until we left for a reasonable fee, which meant we got an extra day in the sun. In fact we have just booked up for next October as we had such a great holiday, where ever you are, holidays are what you make them, and ours was brilliant and we can't wait to be back there.

This hotel I’m afraid is let down by the hotel manager . He was very rude to guests , he sat at our table one night and told me I had wrinkles & needed plastic surgery . The food is just about passable , drinks are watered down , I would definitely advise anyone else to go to a different hotel

First thing to say is that me and my girlfriend are not the kind of people to leave bad reviews. However I decided to make an exception for this place. Doubts started to creep in before we even left with some iffy recent reviews. We left hoping that these were just an anomaly as the hotel had a 4* average review score.

We got to the hotel and were told our room would not be ready as there was a plumbing issue and when it was ready we would be upgraded. They moved us to the Blue Aegean Hotel down the road for 2 nights which wasn’t ideal but the hotel we were moved to was brilliant so we couldn’t complain. We then went back to Diogenis to check in. The room when we got in was filthy. Blood stains on the pillows, shower doors didn’t close properly, big cracks in the wall, dust everywhere, cleaning equipment left in the room and flight cups from previous occupants were still in the room amongst more. This is after they had 2 days to get it ready and this was an upgrade! Seems like upgrade just means pool view. We asked for new pillows and a hairdryer (meant to be in the room already). 5 minutes later an angry maid crashed in and muttered as she angrily swapped pillow cases and then crashed out again. We decided to keep the room tidy ourselves after this and we could do with out the room being cleaned as they clearly don’t do it themselves.

This was by no means the worst of it. The worst thing about this hotel by a country mile is the food! It is unbelievably bad... I’ve never had all inclusive food so bad anywhere. The breakfast is semi passable but lunch and dinner is a joke. Nothing is labelled so you have no idea what you are eating. There are at least 3 kinds of pasta each meal time, soggy chips, dry rice and some sort of potato and the other half is random unknown meats. The dessert is watermelon with one tray of grapes that once they’re gone aren’t replenished and apples that look like they’ve been there since the dawn of time. The salad choices look like they’ve been sat in the back since the start of the season and the drink choices are dreadful. They do cook some things “fresh”in front of you... I did love the mussels with shells full of ice! There is also no real entertainment in the evening!

If you have been unfortunate enough to book here then take enough money to eat in the restaurants around the hotel as these are very nice especially Liminaki Restaurant.

This hotel unfortunately ruined our holiday and is clearly not a 4* hotel and how it has 4* on Trip Advisor is beyond me. The hotel is terrible but the area is very nice! Stay at the Blue Aegean down the road instead as the extra cost is well, well worth it for food, drink, entertainment, cleanliness and everything else!
