Had an overnight stay here with Eclipse Tours at the weekend and can highly recommend the Tinsel and Turkey stay. From arrival to leaving,we thoroughly enjoyed it,welcome drinks, cases taken to our room, housekeeper came to check if our room was okay as it was a triple and offered to move any of the beds if we weren't happy.Full four course Christmas dinner, wine on the table, followed by a ceilidh band for entertainment. At ten o'clock there was sandwiches and stovies, then a full breakfast in the morning. We slept well, what more could you ask for.

We stayed at the Carrbridge Hotel the last weekend in November Friday till Monday totally amazing, absolutely fantastic stay we had, the food, room and entertainment was exellent value for money, staff were so helpful and very approachable, it was a snowy, cold, wet weekend but it was so warm and cosy in our rooms heating on all day and all night with open fires in the entrance hall and bar area, the large open lounge had a pellet burner in it which kept the lounge very warm and cosy. I can only be very thankful for the lovely memorable stay we had and certainly will be going back in the future.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a package tour so luckily only spent minimal time there. It is run down and in need of a lot of renovation and updating. The rooms were adequate but the restaurant and quality of the food left much to be desired. Everything was very basic. On the plus side the manager of the hotel worked very hard and was friendly and amenable. A lot of staff were being trained on the job and non of them were Scottish. The hotel has seen better days.

Traveling with my son on a Newmarket holiday highlands railway trip we had a warm welcome from Mr Norris the manager and all 45 of the coach party were swiftly checked in and our cases delivered to the room. All the facilities were as advertised with clean well equipped rooms, pleasant bar and lounge, the food was very good with a nice range of choices. The location was spot on north of Avimore and less than 30 miles from Inverness. The village was quaint with lovely Cairn pub nearby and the beautiful old bridge across from the hotel.
An enjoyable trip in comfort and well served by staff tour guide and driver.

Room Tip: Rooms on north side on upper floor have views over golf course in south block rooms overlook the river.

On the way south on A9 we were looking for a reasonably priced stopover where we could watch the Rugby WC. At the Hotel Reception we were warmly welcomed and shown an available room. It was "Travelodge" standard, as one would expect as the Hotel caters for a lot of bus tour parties, and suited our requirements.

The TV reception was a different kettle of fish. Even before we'd started on the beer the players were looking fuzzy on the telly in the Lounge, and it got worse, and we lost!

Getting two bus loads of travellers breakfasted and out for 9.00am is no easy task but for the more leisurely tourist it means you can be caught up in the rush if you're not careful. We believe there is often segregation but not on the morning of our departure.

Tip for Hotel - get the sign fixed; missing letters do not create great first impression
