Hopefully this will give people a good idea of the hotel, as I know I found it difficult with mixed reviews as some people find 1 fault and then get angry and say everything is terrible. This clearly is not a 4 star hotel but I will go through why and give the positives which there are some, but to be fair not many.
The main receptionist and the main waitress in the complex are both very friendly and speak good english, the barmaid with the pink hair speaks atleast 4 languages that I seen alone.
The rooms are small but tidy, cleaned every day (excluding the sheets) and the beds were very comfortable.
That is probably all the good points, the food to be fair isn't terrible the problem is that it is the same almost every day. They add 3-4 different things each day but 90% of the food is the same, this is especially poor as the lunch and dinner was almost identical. Personally we ate out most nights. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a lot of options in the first place to choose from, but there is probably only 5 or 6 main meals and realistically no one is going to like every one of those.
The pool area was fine to look at, pool is small and there wasn't enough loungers for everyone and the hotel was only half full as we went out of season, but plenty of space around the pool. There is rats by the pool area, it's by no means swarmed with them, we seen 1 and on 2 seperate occasions so did couples we got talking to there as well, but still an issue to be concerned with.
The entertainment was so bad, in a strange way it was funny. I doubt you will ever find so many acts that spend so much on costumes to look the part, but are essentially they are in my opinion there to pass time in the hotel and not really to entertain.
My overall feeling on this hotel was that with the economy in such bad shape in Spain, as is visable by the amount of closed shops in the town that the hotel was cutting costs accordingly. Everything was very basic and essentially all you need, but what you would expect from a 2 star hotel and not a 4 star. Personally even if this hotel was to be the cheapest available, I wouldn't return. The reason being is the poor food selection will mean you eat out when you have paid for all inclusive. However I think they have a half board option which if it was cheap enough, may still be worth considering although I think there is better value out there.
Away from the hotel, there isn't 1 english bar and only 1 bar with sky sports for those that enjoy watching games whilst on holiday. There is however plenty of shops not far from the hotel and plenty of nice restaurants. The beach is very spacious but is made from small stones instead of sand, some people who dislike sand getting everywhere will preffer this, but personally I found it like walking on glass. You definately couldn't play games and run around on it.
