I have just returned from a great holiday in Playa Blanca. My family and i stayed here for ten nights. This villa has everything you need for a great holiday. It is a bit away from the resort in a private residential area but we loved having a walk into the marina at night or you can get the local 30 bus into town and back for €1.40 each way. I would recommend a hire car due to the location. To get to the best beaches you will need a car anyway unless you're prepared to walk long distances in the heat.
Regarding the villa, the air con was great when needed, the pool was cleaned once a week and didn't get dirty anyway. The pool wasn't too cold either for a non heated pool.
The villa was well equipped for everything you need. Plenty of towels, all the bare essentials, great bbq, nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The host Borja was very nice to deal with. I would recommend this villa to anyone looking to have a relaxing holiday.
Everything about this property was fantastic, location, pool, parking, internet, kitchen, rooms, bathroom, 5 stars, will go there again. Thank you
Booked through trip advisor easy and quick. Really want to keep this one a secret so I have no problem booking it again when I want to. Set a short walk from the Marina, but a car is advisable.
We stayed in this villa for the month of January 2017 and, while the accommodation itself had only a few faults guests with children would have to think carefully about the location. We are keen walkers so did not hire a car. This in itself was not a problem but due to incomplete developments around the villa there is no street lighting, so we were discouraged from staying out after around 18.30.
There were some issues with equipment. From day 1 the kettle did not work and we were advised to boil water using a saucepan. The TV does NOT have UK channels, as stated in an email from Covadonga before we booked, other than news programmes - this should be made clearer in the description. Given the previous statement about location, we had many long nights in with little choice on tv.
The lady who looks after the property was very nice, meeting us at the Estacion de Guaguas in PB and taking us to the villa. When we got there she pointed out that previous guests had damaged the barbecue so it was unusable. Similarly there was a problem with the pool although I don't think we could have used it anyway because of relatively low temperatures. Many of the light bulbs throughout the house were blown and these were not replaced throughout our stay. Several remote control batteries were dead and, although Mila brought us a pack of 4 batteries, we had to keep switching them around to use various devices.
There are 2 supermarkets within 10 minutes walk of the property. The promenade from Las Coloradas to Playa Blanca is about 5 minutes away. From the start of the prom to Marina Rubicon is about 20 minutes walk and from there to Playa Blanca is another 20 minutes. We would recommend the Terrace Bar in Rubicon for a meal.
In summary, while the property was clean and tidy and large enough for a family I would not recommend it on the basis of its location.
