My husband and I have just returned from Lanzasur Club. We were unsure what to expect , when we looked at it online as it seemed to be mainly for families. We were given a very spacious bungalow which was not far from the main hotel and pool area.
The hotel was very busy with families for most of the week, the dining room at peak times was full to capacity, but this did not affect the standard of food or service. All staff in this area worked extremely hard. The food was of excellent quality, with varied choice
of soups, salads, meat, fish and chicken and very tempting desserts.
We spent every morning walking in various directions, exploring the area around the hotel. The local bus is excellent which we used when we had walked to far. The afternoon s were spent relaxing by the pool. Most families were at the water park or the kids were enjoying activities with the animation team. In the evening we would have a short walk after dinner then watch the entertainment in the hotel. A lot of emphasis is placed on entertaining the children until quite late, but do appreciate that it is mostly families who are there. We did however enjoy the adult entertainment when it came on.
Drinks at the bar were average for all inclusive, we were served always very quickly from very friendly staff.
This is a marvellous hotel , the facilities are excellent, all staff from reception, dining room, bar, worked very hard to make sure all guests had an enjoyable holiday, which is just what we had! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room tip: We were in room 1020 which was not far from pool area and main hotel

We are just back from our 2nd trip to Lanzasur Club. Having been 4 Years ago we decided to return as it ticked all the boxes for family of 4 (kids 7 & 9)

Parking: Plenty of street parking around the hotel and 2 small parking areas for approx. 30 cars, never an issue getting space. (I recommend AutoReisen for car hire no fuss take Visa Debit and you leave the car with the fuel that was in it plus cheaper than transfers for the week hire)

Check - In: Having booked direct we avoided any queues of a bus drop off so check in was quick and relatively easy. Chap on reception wasn't the best but every other person we dealt with on the other days were great (coincidently the grumpier chap my wife recognized from the 1st trip 4 years before and said he was the grumpy guy last time 2)

Rooms - Rooms are semi detached Bungalows spread out, they interconnect with an internal door if you need more than 1. You get sofabed, mini kitchen(hob/Fridge/microwave) and a bedroom with 2 single beds. We requested "relaxia gold" before we went as we were told it would give us another bedroom but this wasn't the case on check in as our room had already been assigned so we opted against this as it was pointless otherwise. The safe cost €15 for the week which was fine and big enough to take a MacBook laptop (Rooms Starting with "10" are best for Waterpark they are half way from reception and waterpark and perfect)

Food: I am the worst fussy eater but on both trips here I never had issue with the All inclusive buffet finding food to eat there is a great variety and also a section for kiddies. I recommend the All inclusive package which included Aqualava waterpark as you have your drinks included while at the waterpark and lunch is included from 12:30-14:30 otherwise the costs can add up quickly (€2 per drink & €5.50 for hotdog) / Ice cream tubs are available at the pool bar from 2-6pm and kids made great use of these

Drinks: The all inclusive drinks are the same everywhere (you can upgrade to branded but not really worth it) they have 5-6 cocktails included also. A simple €1-2 tip into the barman jar will see your "experience" improve and they are very friendly once you threat them nice (2 many ignorant people witnessed)

Pools: You have a good variety here, main area has 3, 1 non heated, 1 heated and 1 baby pool. There are plenty of sunloungers available and they are the most comfortable ive used in a long time. The Waterpark Aqualava is attached to the resort and this is where our kids had us everyday. You have a fake beach area with waves every hour, kids pool and play area with 5-6 small slides, lazy river which you can go in with or without the tubes and also 5 large slides for 120cm and taller. They are a mixture of tube and non tube but great fun

Entertainment: The animation team are fantastic, the kids took part in 1 or 2 activities during the week which they enjoyed and the mini disco every evening @ 8pm repeats the same music so after day 1 the kids are in full flow and confident, my 7 year old loved it. The shows were the usual but entertaining for everyone, magic, animals, music

Negatives: The entertainment area got a bit crowded after 2 nights and I imagine this would struggle in high season and be very uncomfortable. We had some issues with insect bites also strangely it seemed to be from the beds as only people in the beds had bites next day not the sofa area.

I would recommend this resort to anyone with Family but make sure you book including Aqualava waterpark on your all inclusive the get the most out of your holiday.

Booked this place very last minute and stayed for four nights. I have no complaints great value for money.
We took our 18 month year old and there was plenty for him to do. There is a water park next to the hotel, Aqualava. This is free if you stay in this hotel which is a real bonus. It would cost an adult €22 per day which in my opinion is too much. There are snacks and drinks which are part of the all inclusive, this stops at 14:30 and they are very strict, we were one minute late and refused us.

The food at the hotel is fine, plenty of choice. There are no speciality restaurants but for the money we paid for the hotel I wasn't expecting it. There is a snack bar by the pool bar which I thought wasn't up to much but with 3 meals a day we didn't need anymore food

Drinks are good, the beer is there local brew, Tropical which is nice. Wine takes a bit of getting use to but is fine. There are free all inclusive cocktails. I did buy a couple of mojitos which were fab, they were 2 for €7 which i thought was fine. The spirits are local, you can upgrade for €90 per week to the Gold which gives you the premium drinks plus other extras but I didn't think it was worth it.

The rooms are bungalow style, four per block. Very clean and couldn't fault it. You have to pay for air con which we did. Wifi is free for one device only and €25 per week for another.

The animation staff were first class, always something going on. Mini disco before the main entertainment which was good.

The Flamingo beach is about a 5min walk away and is lovely. White sandy beach with clear water. Nice cove with a lifeguard, very safe to swim.

Lots of children there, would not recommend if you are a couple looking for a quiet and romantic break

All in all great value for money

We just returned from Lanzasur having stayed over Easter. This was our second trip to the hotel - we also stayed Feb 17. We thoroughly enjoyed both of our stays.

Pros:
Heated pools
Close to the beach
Friendly staff
Excellent water park
Clean rooms/hotel
Hotel swap box

Cons:
Hard beds - back breaking!
Children are expected to sleep on child’s bed in living room (very easy for them to open the door as lock is low down).
Food gets boring/samey
My 8yr old was bored this time, which was surprising considering in Feb 17 he cried because we had to go home - the animation team were focusing a lot on the smaller children (deffo not as good as the Feb 17 animation team).
No decent coffee (especially if you only drink black coffee as all their coffee seems to add milk).
Juices from the machines are watered down.

Tips: do not book excursions with TUI they cost an absolute fortune! Walk to the beach and book with Jeff at almost half the price. Do not book the North island tour if you have children - it isn’t aimed at kids and my son was very bored! The South tour is more interesting for children.

Don’t buy extra WiFi codes at the hotel because it isn’t great and very slow. We used the free WiFi in the water park.

Definitely visit the playa Blanca market on a Wednesday - taxi there and back cost us €10 - much cheaper than the market in Teguise.

Make use of the swap box at the hotel - it’s great we never had to buy a bucket, spade or lilo as we were able to get them in the swap box. We put them back in the swap box when we left so another family could enjoy them.

When you go to the beach be sure to take a loaf of bread with you as you can feed the fish in the sea and they come so close to you! Huge fish swim around your legs as you feed them. It’s an absolutely amazing experience.

Overall despite a few cons we did have a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Lanzasur club and would definitely return.

Have to say this place is great. We asked to be as near reception as possible as my mam has walking difficulties. True enough we got a room so close. Pools where huge an plenty space for all always got sun beds no problem. The food was average but you would always find something.Drinks where not so nice all cocktails where pre mixed. Kids drinks where all good. Entertainment was ok but we didnt stay in much to watch it as we went out in playa blanca. The onsite water park is brilliant an you can use your all inclusive in the restaurant in the water park. Overall its a great place. Although I got eating alive by misquotes an had lots of ants in the room. It didnt bother us but mite some people we just got on with it. would highly recommend A trip to fire mountain. Would deffo return great holiday
