The resort is really great staff brill really friendly and helpful. We had 10 days from 18th Feb till 28th the weather was a bit mixed very cold at night when we first got there . There is no heat in the apartments so the night time is very cold could do with some kind of heaters. The only let down was the food it must be among the worst we have ever had in AI. There is a free bus to Playa Blanca and only 3 euros in a taxi but you dont want to do that every night its o.k if you can just walk out and get something to eat but there is nothing nearby. We would go back back if the food was improved

hi ..its my fault to expect comfort in a 3 star.i personally dont think spanish holidays have evolved at all in 30 years.the complex is clean tidy staff are nice food is allright.. my wife and i were ther 16th feb thru to 23rd 2012..it was cold at night so we left cooker on all night every night..i slept on couch near cooker as bedroom was cold ..every thing in room has to be paid for ie television, safe. aircon .it was a thomos cook holiday thru althams and cost 900quid..ive learned my lesson now ..if you want comfort like you have at home you gotta pay the price and go 5 star..its a all inclusive for those who dont know .wine and beer is certainly a acciured taste and couldnt get drunk off it no matter how hard you tried,,maybe im too hard to please.sorry..

Good hotel, nice food. Different meat every night love the BBQ ( I think its called canaries theme night) FOR A MEAT LOVER LIke me the food is worth the money we paid.
There are 2 restaurants, one is Chinese And tth other is a mixture of English med, canaries. The Chinese one is ok but not a lot of choices, normally only one main course plus fried fish and fried rice stuff like that. Nothing like the Chinese buffet in any town back in England

The mixed one is great! Lots of different salad, kiddie food, different meat( pork chicken beef and ribs) , pastas, rice and of course plenty of desserts.

The Chinese is only open at night time apart from wed and friday.
The other is open 3 times a day breaky from 8-10, lunch from 1-3 and dinner from half 6 to 9.

Whenever the restaurants are closed the bars are always open with lots of drinks and enough of snacks. the bar by the swimming pool is open from10-6 and snacks 3 times I think. There is a bigger snacks at 12.30 with fries, sausage burger and salad.

There is a disco bar at the bottom of the pool bar with different shows every night.

Not a big drinker myself otherwise I will drink my head off like most other people.

There is a minus point for unlimited drinking though. Throughout 2 weeks stay there were 2 main incidents that I have seen which were caused by drunk. So I think securities are needed in the disco bar.

The hotel itself is great apart from being a bit far from the beach. You need to get the free shuttle bus( run basically hourly )to the hotel which is about 5 mins to the beach.

There are lots of excursion you can do, but comparing prices between Thomas cook and two local ones is a must. One is called papagayo excursion centre, the other is called last minute travel. They are both located in playa blanca town centre.

Another thing is taxi easy enough to get and it only cost around 3 euros from the taxi point in town centre to paradises island.

I certainly will recommend people to go for this island based on its excellences but I probaly won't go back to Lanzarote because there are there are plenty of other destinations I can do next.

Just returned from a weeks all inclusive holiday on the 25th Feb 2012. I have never written a review before but after reading 100's of reviews prior to booking our holiday and nearly not booking one due to the mixed reviews, I felt compelled to provide an honest account of our holiday. Travelled with hubby & 3 boys (9, 5 & 1). We all had a fantastic time & our only regret is not having booked a longer stay. The animation team were not in your face but friendly, polite & welcoming to all. Can't fault any of the staff really, they were all pleasant & helpful.
Our appartment much to our delight had two bedrooms despite only having booked a one bedroom and the photo's hadn't done the decor any justice. All rooms were light, bright, recently decorated and very clean.
The food was good but did get a bit repetitive. It was worth doing the all inclusive option but my husband & I would have liked to eat out on just a couple of the evenings. The kids prevented this as they wanted to partake in the evening entertainment. However, we could always find something to eat and have all gained a few extra lb's as testimont to this.
Hardly spent any money whilst there as the complex catered for all our needs.
Only negatives: cold pool's (even the heated one), no hairdryer in room (available at reception for 20 euro deposit) or kettle but didn't enquire about this as the tea & coffee was nice from the bars or restaurant.
This is an all round good 3 star complex. If you want more than 3 stars, then put your hand in your pocket and pay more!! We would definately return to this complex and Playa Blanca. The weather was nice but did get a bit chilly in the evening's. I would recommend taking a couple of cardigans/fleeces if travelling here in our winter months. Happy holidays!

Room Tip: Only a two-storey complex. We had a ground floor appartment which was good as it had a large out do...
