My wife and I dined here on the basis of other reviews on tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. Our first impressions were a little uncertain owing to the nature of the decor (plastic and harsh lighting) but these were soon replaced with confidence in our decision. The service was friendly and attentive but not intrusive or pretentious. The menu had just the right amount of scope and the wine from Lanzarote was excellent. We enjoyed starters based around scallops and prawns, both of which were nicely balanced (my fears regarding the strength of the lobster sauce were entirely unfounded), and then moved on to fillet steak. My wife's steak was a little overdone (just about our only criticism) but mine was perfectly rare. The view from the back windows over the bay is lovely and we really enjoyed our meal. Perhaps most impressive of all, given the quality of the food, was the price. This was not the best steak we have ever had, but it certainly represented excellent value for money. Good work Romantica! Highly recommended.
