“Lovely Las Brisas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2012

Just spent a lovely week (12th April to 19th April) at Las Brisas with my Mum and daughter (aged 9). We rented a villa privately and we were very impressed with both the villa (103) and the 'resort' as a whole. The villa (and I believe all are similar) was very spacious with 2 large double bedrooms, an ensuite and seperate bathroom and a really well kitted out kitchen (washing machine, dish washer etc...). There was a large terrace area outside with a BBQ, table, loads of chairs and 4 loungers. It was so peaceful and relaxing. While we were there it was very windy most days which made getting in the pool (or more so getting out!) interesting but the pool was lovely and big and heated. All staff were friendly and the 'resort' felt very safe and was kept spotlessly clean. Facilities were great as there is a small supermarket, bar and restaurant (although we didn't use it).
Really like the resort of Playa Blanca, really nice long promenade and nice restaurants to eat in.
I would love to visit Las Brisas again especially if I was in need of some peace and relaxation...

Room Tip: All 'villas' look like they have good locations but I would probably try to choose one away...

Dear Guest. Thank you for your review and spending the time to make it. We are pleased you enjoyed our resort and the town of Playa Blanca. We do try to promote safety on our resorts but as in all places guests must still be diligent in foreign surroundings.

Four of us were visiting. My wife, my mother in law and my son who is a young adult with special needs.

In some senses we were approaching this stay with a little trepidation by staying over the Easter weekend. As it turned out it was relaxing, those parents with little ones kept them under control and were a credit as were the teenagers. In short, you couldn't fault a thing. I'm seriously thinking of buying a villa or looking into a time-share, I've really come to like the place.

Given my son's special needs he felt at home and importantly we all felt he was safe

.
It is close enough to walk down to the center of Playa Blanca and the beach, yet far enough to be pleasingly quiet. It's perfect.

It helps to have a car as it gives flexibility to visit elsewhere on the island. We went to a fantastic restaurant in El Golfo. Being a real numpty I can’t recollect it’s name 'cos I'd like to give it a good review.

As a final point. I've stayed at a few fancy hotels in my time and seen the ridiculous charges for WIFI. Las Brisas has FREE WIFI!

This place is 5 star!
I Haven't booked another trip but I will definitely return.

Room Tip: Villa 136. Very peaceful. Well furnished

This resort is a great place for families, couples and older folk. Majority are British, but there were a few French and E Europeans as well. Villas are modern, well furnished and well maintained. Pool is excellent with lifeguards present all the time. Food in bar is of high quality and reception staff are absolutely first class with info on the locality. Resort is very close to the main street of Playa Blanca and beaches and restaurants/bars. all in all, a 5 star resort.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your comments. Yes our heated pool can be enjoyed all year round and has facilities for the disabled. Las Brisas and the town of Playa Blanca are definately a quiet location and not for those looking for club life.

Just recently returned from Las Brisas (The Breezes). And it definitely was breezy. LOL...
Complex was superb. Very clean and the grounds being tended by the groundsmen constantly. Have to keep perimeter gate keys on your person at all times, excellent on site safety.
The pool was v.good with lovely warm water.( And this was end of March).
Was impressed with attentive lifeguards, who also cared for disabled swimmers one on one, accessing pool via disabled pool chair, (haven`t seen that before).
Plenty of sun loungers and parasols around the pool. No diving (safety reasons),no drinking glasses in and around pool and plenty of rubbish bins (so No excuse to litter the area)
Good size bar and restaurant with a good variety of food and drink to choose from, any time of the day.Smoking and non-smoking terraces outside the bar.
Entertainment was okay but more for older generation or kids. (singers/bingo). Also has kids clubs (painting, etc) and kids room with table tennis,air-football ,pool tables and rides.
On site tennis courts and handy small supermarket.
Reception was very good and instantly sorted out any problems, if they arose.
Short walk to Hyperdino (proper supermarket) and numerous Playa Blanca shops/bars +restaurants. Ferry/harbour 5mins. Bus garage round the corner.
Overall very good place for families and older generation, Not really a `party`location. But excellent complex for relaxing in and around the pool.

Dear Guest. Thank you for your comments and comprehensive review of Las Brisas. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us even if it was a little windy at that time. The pool lifeguards work hard to ensure that all guests can enjoy the heated pool regardless of their age or mobility.

Las Brisas was a "nice" resort nothing particually dramatic but "nice" location in playa was good and the place was very clean and tidy, the furnishing were a little dated but good condition as mentioned by another reviewer the sunbeds were quite tatty and I felt in need of replacement, the shop was reasonable and well stocked, bed linen and towels were spotless BUT PLEASE PLEASE more towel changes, towel replacement twice a week is not what RCI guests are used to.
Welcome meeting was informative and we were warned not to overfuss the cats, we had a feline visitor the very next day on our patio area eating a rather large pigeon for his/her breakfast but when we went out it was slapping it's chops but when we came back it was thankfully gone including it's mess and we never saw it again. ugh !!!!
BUT las Brisas really is a nice resort !!!
