Pros of this hotel include:
1. It’s located very close to the top of the west end bars so the stagger back at the end of the night is very short.
2. It’s fairly close to the sunset strip once you learn the best route.
3. Rooms are spacious or at least our corner room was.
4. The room includes a working fridge.
5. Taxi rank located around the corner.
6. Breakfast was ok and at least for us included in the price and served until 11am.

1. You have to wear a vey annoying wrist band for the entirety of your stay.
2. Anyone not stopping at the hotel can use the pool and loungers all day when they spend €5 at the bar meaning if your not early good luck using that area.
3. The staff while I admit were adequate I have experienced much better in Ibiza.
4. The pool and longe area was simply not as good as other hotels in the same 3 star range around Ibiza.
5. Air con wasn’t that great and often when walking through reception other guests would be making the same complaint.
6. The safe costs extra (I think €2 per day)

Of course this is a personal opinion but having stopped in several 3 star hotels during lads holidays across the San Antonio and Bossa areas this one just didn’t compare and I would personally put it as a 2 star. But if your after the cheapest option and this hotel turns out to be that it is worth considering. However personally I would pay more for a different hotel.

Staff was courteous and accommodating. English speaking staff with amenities like swimming pool, games, bar and restaurant.
A few hundred metres from the Sunset strip of Ibiza and walking distance to the hottest clubs of Ibiza.

After reading other reviewers regarding this hotel we nearly booked another one, but I’m so glad we didn’t, this hotel is in a perfect location for the nightlife and the hotel is clean and comfortable with great friendly staff, the breakfast is very good.
So onto the worries regarding the “ over jealous security man”. He is there doing a good job and if you return to the hotel in a manner of disrupting other hotel customers he will have words with you !! which you need him to do if you’re in bed asleep
So well done hotel tropical for employing a man who is not afraid of doing his job, and if you find that he is over jealous then you are probably causing other people some problems so have more respect for your fellow travelers

We stayed at hotel tropical with a group of 25 boys. We had no problems at anytime in our 3 nights stay here. Taxi from the airport to the hotel will cost you around €40. The hotel is not fancy, but if youre looking for somewhere just to get your head down and get a decent breakfast id recommend. The rooms are basic, but with comfortable beds, tv and small bathroom.

Breakfast is served from 8.30 to 11.30, and is a good quality buffet breakfast. The swimming pool is opposite the main hotel side, and has a decent bar with good prices for drinks, we were paying €3 for a lager. The food at the pool bar is well worth a go and well priced.

Its about a 10/15 minute stroll to cafe mambo from the hotel. And a few kebab shops and supermarket pretty close to the front entrance.

Reception and security were pretty good with dealing with us turning up and checking in despite us being a bit drunk and in high spirits. With reception even booking us a taxi mini bus to take us to the airport for our flight home.

Would highly recommend this hotel, if travelling as a large group of boys.

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights and paid around €450 with breakfast and dinner! I would say that’s a great price especially for the middle of July! The airport was about 30 mins on the shuttle which was great. Dinner is on till 10:00pm from 8:00pm so you can always catch it after a late check in . Dinner was different each night . One night is Mexican / another Chinese / Thai ! The only most annoying thing out the whole stay is that you can’t have water with dinner unless you pay for it! It’s €2 for a little bottle! You can have water at breakfast amongst juice & tea but they turn the machine off at dinner! The breakfast starts at 8:00 till 11:30 and is lovely! The rooms are great and REFURBISHED from the photos I saw! Cleaning is very very good! Air con is lovely and cool!! The best bit is this hotel is great for everyone but I mainly saw couples and groups of girls and boys. However the few children there where around 4&5 years and where happy in the shallow pool . We heard no noise at all when we went to sleep on a night and the strip is about a 10 min walk away which is perfect! Beach is also about 10 min walk. We found most people who didn’t stay at the hotel where paying €5 to get into our pool so clearly very popular and relaxed atmosphere! Drinks are not too badly priced I €3 a beer ? €3 for some chips ...
shops are very close to the hotel for all essentials like water 2L for €1 or something! Snacks / sun creams / towels etc but no one annoying trying to drag you into the shop! Always go in the white taxis because people will rip you off if they don’t have a metre ! For example if you went to ocean beach that’s €6 in a taxi from the hotel but people tried to charge €25! Any questions just ask and il help! Had the best time and so glad we could chill out aswell as party too but grab a nice pizza from the shop next door to the hotel before bed!
