Sadly the tower was closed when we visited, but it's located on a nice rocky surface. The beach on the right side of tower had great waves when we visited.

The coast of Barisardo is breathtakingly beautiful. The rocks are pinkish red and seem to walk into the water all by themselves. The viewes are stunning, the beaches sandy. The tower though, is not of interest at all. The leaflets show a white tower. In reality the small tower is of stone color.

We arrived in Barisardo, a small village in Sardinia and wonder where is the sea side..with the famous tower. We were directed by some local people to the road that takes you to Torre di Bari'. There was a turning for Cea on the way but we thought to leave that to the day after. We arrived there in about 20 minutes.. the tower is nice and dominates the area, people clime to get to the top of the hill.. From there you have a beautiful view. The tower itself is nice but not amazing. Sardinia is beautiful everywhere you go and this is also a nice place to see in Ogliastra.

The beach is ideal if you can swim, as the water becomes almost immediately deep. Often characterized by wind, good for windsurf, but since the sand is not so fine, this is not a problem if you just want to enjoy the sun. The Spanish tower that characterizes the beach is a nice additional touch.
