My husband and I had gone to Germany to watch Luhmuhlen horse show in June. We booked this hotel for 3 days and 2 nights at 45 euros a day.
To our dismay, Luhmuhlen turned out to be 45 kms away and with no direct connectivity.
The hotel lady and her husband welcomed us very warmly. She made an effort to call me and ask if we wanted dinner as we were reaching post dinner time.
The rooms were quite comfortable with hot water and a radio stereo set and no television. Rooms are situated in a separate building with nice lawns. Breakfast is buffet and very delicious. Personally, the high point is the lovely and charming hotel owners who went that extra mile to make us comfortable.
The rate is little over priced compared to the facilities and the fact that its a little hunting village close to Behringen, close to autobahn... but neverthless, the lady and her husband made it all worth.

Food is excellent, beds are alittle old, and the floor i creeking.
Host is lovely, and her husband is the cook.
Food and service is very good.
There is a park just outside the hitel wich is nice to stroll in.
If you can, try to get a room in the annex.

This is a very nice hotel located in Behringen very close to Lüneburger Heide and just a few minutes from the autobahn. Very nice location with nice terrace and fine parking. Different rooms in size and even a family "apartment with two bedrooms. We have tried both options and very good. This family hotel has a very nice restaurant and bierstube. Excellent breakfast and nice dinner options. We like it and have been here 3 times within the last year.
Here is a lot to do in the neighbourhood within 5 minutes drive.

Room Tip: If you want lot of space book the family room on first floor. Big entry hall. Sitting room and two bedrooms and a balcony with nice view.

We came late at night, but that was no problem. Just a call telling our schedule and Beate arranged the key in a secret place, the room door wide open and some cool bewerages on the window shelf. Actually I felt myself more welcome there than at some relatives' houses...

The furniture and decorative items looked like they had been used in a home, not a hotel. Just as if we were visiting a friend's house, some items here and there reminding of children who no more lived there, thus letting their rooms to be used as a guestrooms. Lovely retro where it was intact, renovated surfaces where needed.

The home-like feeling continued in the morning. The breakfast was great, nothing fancy but damned good. The only thing I disliked was our tight schedule, which forced us to leave too soon.

We stayed with Peter and Beate for 2 nights as part of a group, travelling round Germany and this Bed and Breakfast was the best one out of the whole week!
The owners Peter and Beate are so welcoming and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and Peter is a great chef too! The dinner we chose to have with them for one of the nights we stayed was out of this world and the breakfasts were superb also!
The whole place has an 'oldy worldy' charm and character and is just beautiful! Everything was clean and we slept very well.
We are all planning to go back again in the future for sure!! We loved our stay here! :-D

Room Tip: You cannot pick a bad room! :-)
