Nykobing is not the most charming of towns, in fact it's rather dull and boring!
We had to drive for quite a while before we discovered this little jewel on the banks of the water in an area of mainly senior citizens flats.
We sat outside and had gotten used to the fact that we had to order our meal & drinks at the bar, this is typical in Denmark, no waiter service, we were given a bleeper when the food was ready. Having ordered 2 salmon rolls and 1 large & 1 small beer we were shocked with the bill of 50 euro!
However when the food, or should I say feest, arrived it was worth every cent!! The meal was huge with a roll more like a loaf of bread copiously filled with cold smoked salmon fillets, asparagus and a dille sauce.......absolutely deeelishus!! And there was more, a huge salad and a family sized portion of potato wedges with 2 equally delicious dipping sauces.
We couldn't eat all of it, no problem as our family joined us later and devoured the lot.
Well worth a visit to this delightful restaurant with it's lovely view of the water.
