Being locals and members of the NT we have visited often. Visited again Easter Sunday with our family and dog.
Queues to get in were very long and unfortunately I had to join the non-member queue to pay for our non-member visitors.
However, we had a really lovely visit wandering through the woods and gardens. Gave the house a miss this time. We would prefer one price for house and grounds as with Attingham Park.
We appreciate that the site was very busy on Easter Sunday but queues for the café were extremely long and it took ages to get served. We think they need to look at speeding up the service and having a separate entrance and exit. The separate booth in the Orchard for just drinks was a good idea but again queues for that service were lengthy.
All staff/volunteers we encountered were friendly and helpful.
It was a good idea to have the port-a-loos available by the ticket office as the toilet facilities are always very busy and queues for the ladies again very long and slow.
Enjoyed browsing in the well stocked shop and around the plants for sale.
Children seemed to be enjoying the Easter Egg hunt.
All in all we did enjoy our visit and will continue to visit in the future.
