What a lovely cottage! We arrived to a welcome pack for not just us but our dog too, which he loved.
This cottage is as good as the pictures indicate - well decorated to give a light and airy feel and thoughtfully equipped with anything you might need including a large cooker, WiFi, two hair dryers, really comfy beds (my partner slept in and he's normally up and about by 6!), TV & DVD player in lounge with lots of DVDS to watch and BBQ. There are 3 good pubs you can reach in 5 minutes. There is a Tesco local and Co-OP shops within 5 minutes too, as well as a great fish and chip shop, Chinese and Indian. We didn't try the Indian but the Chinese and Fish and Chips are highly recommended.
As the nights were a bit chilly it was great to get in front of the fire and warm up after walking from the beach.
The owners operate an 'honesty box' system for store cupboard foods so there isn't any need to fill the car with food - there's pasta, rice, herbs, oils, salt, pepper, cereals, baked beans, tin tomatoes, sauces and more - basically if you use the last of something you replace it before you leave. If you forget toiletries there's a handy basket filled with toothbrushes, tooth paste, soaps, shower gel etc again on a n honesty box system - replace what you use.
You can get to the sea in 15 minutes and onto the promenade to walk to Hunstanton (45mins) one way or Heacham Dam the other (30mins). There is parking to the rear of the cottage for two cars which I am sure in the height of summer will be invaluable. There's no need for a car as bus stops are only a 30 second walk away - which allow you easy access to all the towns and villages on the North Norfolk coast.
