Great location and view. Ask for a sea view and higher up floors.
Decent restaurant. Friendly Staff and walking distance to city center.
Rooms outdated but clean.
Beach 100m away.
Good speed and free WIFI.

This hotel is a stones throw from the beach and is approx 1.5km from the old town. It suited me to a degree as I needed to walk along the beach the next day to catch a ferry but if I was passing through Laredo again, I'd stay elsewhere. The room did have a balcony but had no tea or coffee making facilities or fridge. The walls were VERY thin. I ate in the hotel restaurant , which I'd generally avoid doing but was sorry that I had. The staff were all fantastic but my opinion is that the hotel needs some investment in room facilities and an updated menu. I wouldn't recommend.

Reasonable accommodation at a good value price with staff who care about the service they give. Restaurant is also good value for money with excellent breakfast buffet. A trip to the bar is worthwhile and the friendly barman is only to pleased to display his skill at making cocktails and also to introduce you to local and other Spanish drinks.

Outside you are on the doorstep to one of the best beaches in Northern Spain and a whole host of restaurants and bars.

Hotel Cosmopol is situated in a location that is hard to beat with easy access to Santander and Bilbao and also the Pyrenees.

Best part to this hotel is that it is just a street away from the beach. To the centre of Laredo, it is a short walk - in the off season there wasn't too big an offer, and if you have a car, I would go to Santander for dinner or tapas. The rooms have a good size, but with thin walls and with an eighties style.

We spent a few nights here before returning home on the ferry from Bilbao. Very nice hotel, but a little dated. The food and wine were very good! Either water or wine was included with the evening meal when half board. The room was clean and bed were comfy.
It was a pity the swimming pool was not clean and in use.
I would book again if in this region.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have a good view of the beach.
