You will not be disappointed with this Villa. Just the most idyllic views, we spent every evening on the terrace enjoying watching the sun go down and then starring up at the night sky’s till the early hours.
The rooms are all a great size and a very well equipped kitchen.
The road getting to the villa is a little tight and steep but you soon got used to it. A fair drive into the town but to be honest once we had stocked up on food and drink we were happy to spend most days and nights at the Villa.
Do book Adriana (the local chef) to come over to cook, we had an amazing meal.
We will be back.
We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in this beautiful property located in the hills of Tuscany. Yes, it is a drive to Lucca and the road is challenging at first, the destination is well worth any small inconveniences.
We enjoyed spectacular warm fall weather taking advantage of the large interior space as well as the beautiful terrance where we found ourselves each evening enjoying a glass of wine.
Kitchen is large with a plenty of space for the eight of us to cook, eat and socialize around the large farm table. We found everything we needed to cook some of our own meals. Big surprise is there is a second refrigerator providing space for all of our food.
Bedrooms are large and all but one have an attached bath. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Living space is also large with a wood burning stove for those cool fall evenings. With the spectacular view we never turned on the large screen TV.
We enjoyed exploring Lucca and the many shops restaurants. Restaurant Circolo in Bagni di Lucca was exceptional and very reasonable.
The home allows you to explore the Cirque Terre and coastal towns or just a drive through the hills to many local quaint villages.
If you have a large family and desire a peaceful hillside villa in Tuscany this is the place.
My family of 6 adults,4 boys and a baby have just returned from spending 2 weeks in this lovely house. If anything it is better than it looks in the photos, all the rooms are extremely spacious and it was wonderful to have so many en-suite bedrooms. There is so much else to recommend this property, the swimming pool is in a stunning location and there was plenty of room even when we were all in it at the same time.the views are amazing from all the rooms and there is so much space around the house for sunbathing or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The local town has some great places to eat and none of them are too expensive and I would strongly recommend taking advantage of having a meal cooked for you by Adriana, great food and amazing value for money.John and Pat could not have been more helpful when answering any queries we had ,so if you thinking of holidaying in this part of Tuscany I would have no hesitation in suggesting you make La Dioma your first choice,I promise you will not be disappointed .
We stayed at this lovely Tuscan home for a family reunion and can highly recommend the property - especially for large groups. It was great to have so much space and so many bathrooms (five!) - no queues for the shower needed! It's a very, clean, comfortable home with bags of character but not cluttered (like we've found with previous rentals) and the kitchen is really well equipped for group cooking. We mostly talk about the setting of this house - completely private with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and the town of Bagni di Lucca at the bottom of the valley - beautifully lit up at night. We spent a lot of time around the pool which is just perfect and kept the youngsters in the group entertained but there's also lots to see and do in the local area with stunning walks and medieval towns to see nearby. The local restaurants are excellent and on a couple of evenings we employed a local chef who came to the house and prepared an amazing feast - the home owners organised this for us and can't recommend it enough - such good value for such wonderful homemade Italian food. Our stay in Tuscany was simply bellissimo at this wonderful home!

A big group of us stayed in La Dioma in July last year - what a location! The villa is superb, decorated throughout in a traditional Tuscan-like style but with lots of modern touches. The entertaining space is very good - with a large kitchen table and a lovely big granite outside table, partly covered so we could sit outside in the sun and have lunch beneath it.
The pool area was ideal - all of our children loved it! They also fully appreciated the English TV! The owners clearly recognise the luxuries in life!
The view is incredible - looking down on the pretty spa town of Bagni Di Lucca. When we were sat around the pool, we were surrounded by mountains with all day sun (and thankfully a well shaded pergola!)
The village is a short drive from the town of Bagni di Lucca, with lots of restaurants (menus in English!) and supermarkets etc.
We would definitely go back to this stunning spot.
