I have visited several thermal baths in Germany and these are the first ones that didn't supply towels, but still charged a steep entry priced (17€ for 2 hours use of the pool. .you had to pay extra for the sauna). All in all not too bad, but not the best value for money. Go to Baden Baden instead!

When the sun is shining and temperatures rising there is nothing nicer than going to a lovely pool and this absolutely hits the mark! Whilst there are no water slides etc. there are a variety of awesome swimming pools and the ice cream is delicious!

Visiting the Roemer Thermen during the week with a friend and her young daughter, we were among the youngest customers at the baths. It was nice to see older Germans there enjoying their water aerobics, swimming and relaxing in a calm atmosphere. As we were with a child, we only had the opportunity to visit the pools and not the sauna and fitness areas. However, it was a perfect outing for a couple of hours (especially in poor weather!), and the lifeguard on duty was very considerate and helpful, providing us with 'water wings' for the little girl in our group.
