“Nice place to stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2012

Booked a weekend in June, hotel was easy to find, well located in Bessin and very modern. The rooms had large comfy beds, and nice large shower facilities. The hotel is in a quiet location and has a roomy reception and breakfast

Hotel has bar, which is useful and nice staff who speak good English.

Bessin is nice, good restaurants and ideal for D Day landing beaches and museums

It's always nice when your reservation is well handled and we have had excellent service so far this trip.
Our room was very clean, and we had an excellent buffet breakfast as well.
Hotel is a bit more complex to get around since it has only a front entrance on the main level. They allow you to exit the rear parking from the main level but not enter. Not sure why?
Only thing that didn't work until the next morning was the wi-fi. The frt desk sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

We visited as a group of 4 couples, and despite the weather gods failing in their duty to provide warm sunny weather (it rained for a good proportion of our 3 night stay). The staff are very friendly some of the best I have ever experienced. Parking is secure in a car park at the rear of the property (not easy to find as you have to drive a fair way to get there from the front of the building).

The room was clean and basic but comfortable. My only comment is as the frontage of the hotel is on the quayside and the quay is only accessible at high water by the fishing fleet, the noise unloading and loading vessels at high water can annoy and those who want more peace and quiet should ask for a room at the rear. To us the working port was fascinating.

The hotel has a limited menu, but there is good eating in the village centre a short walk down the harbour.

Breakfast is a continental buffet style and excellent.

We will return again

I chose this hotel for the price and the location - I wanted to be a little out of the way, and it is on the quay in Port-en-Bessin. We checked slightly late but the desk clerk was very helpful and fixed us a quick meal from their limited menu. Next morning, check-out was easy and, again, very pleasant desk assistance. Not a romantic spot but great for travellers who want something clean and convenient. I gave it above average because it is a "cookie-cutter" place, but the staff and location make it better than average.

Family of four. We stayed for four nights. It is very clean and modern and basic overall which matched the price we paid. No complaints as the beds were comfortable and it was quiet Restaurants and little shops are there also. We loved our walks to the beach at night when tide was out. Fish plant is across the little marina from the hotel. We were not disturbed (even though our room was on the ground floor with window facing the marina). We arrived on Easter Monday and most of the restaurants there were open. The staff were exceptional - we had many questions and all were answered with a smile and courtesy. Breakfast in the mornings was 9 Euros per person/child...many choices of bread primarily with crepes, quiche, cereals, fruit, yogurt and coffee/juice.
