The hotel itself is interesting, the breakfast is relatively good for Bulgaria, although the coffee is terrible))). The rooms are clean, but small, in order to sleep well must tale junior suite, because the rooms are very small. The pool is awesome! Great for kids ! The water is warm and nice. Loved the three outdoor pools with different temperatures. Great place for the weekend!

Hi guys,

We stayed for 1 week in Velingrad- Spa Hotel Dvoretsa. Velingrad is a ghost town with nothing to do/see....and the hotel which in theory is the best in town is the same:

Location: in the central park of the town amidst many trees, overlooking the town - 5*
Cleanliness: 4*
Rooms:3.5* - bathrooms need refurbishing
Room service: 1* (u can order only 2 things....really...5* hotel?!?!)
Restaurant: 2* ( service is virtually non existent and the food is not good, especially the breakfast which is not worth waking up for...poor choice and the same everyday)
Vienna cafe:1* (fancy name for a selection of two types of cake.....and basic coffee)
Spa Center:3*(everything is in need of refurbishment and lacks atmosphere....also the price for procedures is steep...30 eur for a face cleaning or for a face hydratation...about 30% more than the Bulgarian prices in similar hotels)
Outside Swimming pool:5* !!! This is the only feature that makes this hotel bearable fir a week. It is huge! and naturally heated at around 37 degrees all year. The reason being the existence of thermal springs in the city. And u can swim in it until midnight! It is magic at night!! This is the only reason to visit the hotel
Overall:3*
Price:4*(rather expensive for Bulgaria, but not for foreigners- standard room with breakfast for 2 - 75 eur/ night)
Recommandation: sadly, don' t go, unless u want to enjoy the good old times with nothing to do.

There are few good hotels over-there so this one is not bad. Very old communist building, renovated but with small rooms. The service is average. Nothing special. However the rooms are warm. The restaurant is better to avoid.

Room Tip: Take an appartment

I visit Spa Hotel Dvoretsa evey year! It's the ideal place for me when I need to relax.. I enjoy luxurious vacation in reasonable prices! There' s nothing like a swim in the warm waters of the pool while gazing at the bulgarian night sky!

Room Tip: The rooms with pool view are amazing.

Spa hotel Dvoretsa is located in the forest hill with spectacular views around. Hotel itself gives a glimpse to old Soviet Union. Colossal building with big hallways are very soviet like. Rooms are very stylish are well equipped. Bonus was that we had two rooms next to each other and we got the door opened between them. External pool is huge and there are also three dipping pools: very hot, hot and cold. Hotel has also internal pools are great variety of treatments which are quite affordable. Restaurant style is straight from 80's Moscow. Food is good and here the staff has quite good language skills.

If you are in Bulgaria this is the must place to be!
