Owner description: While staying in Monteverde don’t miss the Sky Tram that will lead you up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains in the area. Sky Tram is a guided tour where you can have the opportunity to observe the cloud forest outstanding biodiversity, the majestic Arenal Volcano and the Nicoya Gulf. The Sky Trek’s zip lines go from mountain to mountain, allowing you fly through a cable at speeds up to 40 miles per hour and heights of over 520 feet. There are also 5 observation towers that surpass the cloud forest treetops, providing amazing panoramic views our company has a braking system that was superior to what I'd experienced in other places. The zip linesthemselvesare long and fast, when the clouds cleared, we were able to see the ocean, which was amazing. It is a really great experience.

Dennis was a wonderful guide for the he hanging bridge tour. He is so knowledgeable about the birds and the land! The zip line crew was fun and kept things moving. Definitely recommend this activity! A set of photos of your group is available at the end for about $40.

We did the hanging bridges tour with a very knowledgeable guide who switched effortlessly back and forth from English to Spanish. He pointed out flora, wildlife and bird calls. We especially liked the tarantula. And then we did the zip line tour. So fun! It was great to ride the tram up so we had minimal climbing or walking between each of the 8 lines. Guides hooked us up at the beginning and helped us brake and unhook at the end. It was safe and seamless, yet exhilarating. Highly recommend.

We did the sky trek(hanging bridges) , zip lines, Sky tram and arboreal (tree climbing). The sky trek was 4/5, we had some amazing views, didn’t see any wildlife , it was mostly botanical tour.

The zip line and sky tram were amazing! It was raining and very cloudy so when you go up in the tram or do zip lines you see nothing ahead of you, which is scary but also thrilling! Since it was cloudy I didn’t see many views but I still enjoyed the zip lining through clouds.

The arboreal was amazing!!! The only advice I would give is, if you are scared of heights Do not do arboreal, you May climb the trees but at the top you have to do a jump and the cable has a control decent which brings you down slowly. In our group only I was able to jump and other people got stuck on the top and after they got tired of being up, they slowly climbed back down after staying 20 minutes up in the tree.

If you climb down after spending 20 minutes up, you waste your time there. Also I would have liked if they had proper climbing shoes and gloves for rental. It is very difficult with soft sole sneakers to maintain grip while climbing.

Also do the booking from Santa Elena town not your hotel you can ask for customized packages and you can get discounts as well depending on what activities you chose and your group size.

Very disappointed with our Sky Adventures experience. We did the tram & hanging bridges tour for $70 per person.
Spent 2 hours on the hanging bridges tour, unnecessarily slow. Could have completed it in an hour. The guide was slow.
Then we had to wait 30 mins til the tram. That lasted 45 minutes.
Then we had to wait over an hour for our return shuttle. A waste of a previous holiday day. Do not recommend!
