We stayed at the Seapoint toward the end of June and had a fab experience. This little hotel is an absolute haven and in my opinion, is far superior to most of the 5 star hotels I've visited.

Staff - The staff are beyond helpful. As there are only 23 rooms, there is a real personal touch to the service and the staff remember your name. Special thanks to our waiter Smiles who gave us some good recommendations.

Food - as most reviews say, the food is gorgeous! HOWEVER, the dinner choice can be restrictive as not all choices are included in the half board package. The set menu, which is usually of a very high standard, is included in the package and changes every night. Outside of that, there is a selection of 2 starters and 3 mains that are available free of charge with the rest of the options being offered at a surcharge ranging from £3 - £10.

Locations - the location was perfect for us. It is a 5 min walk to a nice sunset beach and a local supermarket where you can buy alcohol at standard UK supermarket prices. There are also a couple of nice cafes near by for lunch and Grand Bai is only a 5 min taxi ride away.

Room/Facilities - I loved the room. It was so spacious and quirky and the balcony looked right over the water. Really nice. The pool is lovely, if a little cold in the winter months, and the restaurant facilities are very nice.

All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a chilled break but be warned - it's not a party hotel.

Room tip: I would suggest booking on the 1st floor because you get a better view.

We have just returned from 10 nights on honeymoon at this beautiful hotel and we could not have picked a nicer hotel!

We arrived to a very friendly welcome and were shown to our room (which the hotel had kindly upgraded) which was very tastefully decorated and had a lovely view out to the sea. The room was very spacious and clean and had its own private patio with a swing chair which was very relaxing to sit out on!

The hotel was very quiet during our stay with there being very few guests but we liked this as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves and were very well looked after!

The staff are all wonderful, very attentive and always happy to help with any queries. Vishnu who is one of the managers was always checking that we were OK and that we were enjoying our stay. He is a lovely man and his people skills are excellent and we always felt well looked after. The waiters and barmen were always smiling and really friendly – we cannot remember all of their names but Elvis was our waiter quite a few times and he was brilliant. We must also mention Faizal who is the housekeeping manager. He is also a very friendly man, always checking-up to ensure we were enjoying our holiday and his towel art on our bed each day was very impressive! We would also highly recommend the massage – Joyce the spa manager was very good and we had a couples massage during our stay which was really relaxing.

We made use of the hotel bikes which are free to take out. Whilst they could all do with servicing, they are fine for a short local ride to the lovely Mon Choisy beach or Grand Baie which is the nearest town perhaps 15 minutes away cycling. The hotel also arranged for us to hire a car for a day (which was very reasonably priced through them) so that we could go out for a day exploring the island but having just been on a safari we were more than happy to relax by the lovely infinity pool on other days.

The food was really good throughout our stay, particularly the Mauritian night which offered some lovely favours! Unfortunately we were only able to eat our evening meal on the beachfront on one occasion as the hotel felt it was too windy to serve evening meals on the beach most evenings.

The only disappointment with the hotel is the price of the drinks (particularly in the minibar). From the minibar a can of beer works out around £5, soft drink around £3 and a chocolate bar £1.50!! – as quite a few other guests have mentioned, the prices are too high (they should be half the cost) and the hotel really need to look at this as I am sure it would encourage guests to buy more! The hotel do give you bottled water every day in your room and I understand prices are similar in other local hotels.

Everything else about this hotel was wonderful and if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay in a beautiful hotel then you should visit Seapoint! Thanks guys!

We were recently at the Seapoint for our honeymoon (just got back yesterday after two weeks on the island). Our first week was at Seapoint and our first meeting when we arrived was with Vishnu who managed his team brilliantly. Nothing was too much and the hotel needs to never change the way it is, frankly. If you like a small, intimate, peaceful and excellently-kept hotel then this is the place for you.

Wonderfully private and extremely quiet beach right on your doorstep and with all rooms having the best of views towards the beach we cannot recommend this place highly enough. Great cocktails on the beach, staff who really do care about you having a great time, spotless, lovely rooms with excellent food in the restaurant (best poached eggs for brekkie on the planet, frankly) and just a smile every time you meet with the staff, nothing was too much.

Also went out of their way to provide great variety of food for my wife who is veggie. A merciful breeze on the beach to take some of the sting from the sun which was stunning and hot - a gorgeous sunset 2 minutes walk round the corner and water just lovely. Sea water infinity swimming pool if the beach is not for you and drinks and food available wherever you want - they were so accommodating. The bar by the beach in the sand is great and they are good sales people when it comes to cocktails!!

All in all, we cannot sing their praises enough - Vishnu, please keep doing what you're doing and thank you for all of your help with the excursions and just for making our honeymoon so very special and a huge thanks to your brilliant staff.

Room tip: We had a suite with a terrace which was wonderfully private and had a great sea and beach view!!

Just unbelievable. A small piece of paradise, the location, the nature, the hotel itself. Excellent food and I loved the setting for an afternoon cocktail. Staff is very personal and friendly; from the initial welcoming through Vishnu, Manav taking care of every detail to ensure you’re happy, and the staff always being very attentive. Can’t wait to go back.
