This resort has recently been refurbished, it’s stunning inside . We are a family of 5 ( 2 teenage daughter and 7 year old ) . My 7yo daughter had fun at the kids club she didn’t want to leave . My family and I will definitely visit again

Very nice rooms... Food was great. Birthday cake for my daughter birthday... Helpful staff... Great pools both adult n kids... A lot of walking roaming around space... Not compact hotel at all...
Negative point... Bottle water provided only on arrival day so if you are there for quite some days... With the heat in summer and getting dehydrated....Think about to bring your pack of water with you...

Good Morning Naseema. We thank you very much for reviewing your stay at the Canonnier Beachcomber. We are happy that you enjoyed the accommodation, the food and the service during your stay. As you so rightly stated, our resort is that spacious that it is never crowded and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We had much pleasure to be part of your daughter’s birthday and we hope she enjoyed the cake. Regarding the drinking water, we have a complimentary offer at the start of the stay but we have it available on sale at any time at the bar or at our restaurants. Biut we will think about your proposal. We send you our kindest regards.

Staff were mindful of making our stay enjoyable. One even made an artisanal bow and arrow for our 4 year old daughter who was otherwise too young to go to the Archery Centre. Excellent Food and very comfortable.

Stayed here for a short 2 nights break while visiting family in Mauritius. We have stayed at other Beachcomber hotels and found them to be excellent and my wife wanted to see this recently renovated hotel.

On arrival we were greeted and offered a drink and a cold towel to refresh ourselves. We were then quickly checked in and taken to our room by the very friendly and helpful Sunil.

Our standard room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and large soft pillows. Our balcony would have a had a lovely view of the ocean had it not been obscured by trees! Bathroom (shower only) was clean and spacious with complimentary toiletries.

We went with the all inclusive package and although, as expected, you are restricted to what drinks are available on the package I still found myself spoilt for choice and not at all limiting as suggested by another reviewer.

There are 3 restaurants at Le Canonnier: Frangipanier - the main restaurant offering themed buffets, Navigator - seafood restaurant by the sea, Serenata - Italian cuisine. Both the Navigator and Serenata require reservations for dinner but as we were only staying for a few nights we did not manage to get a booking at the Navigator as it was fully booked on both evenings during our stay. However this appeared to be a blessing in disguise as we found the service here during a lunchtime visit to be slow and unattentive. When you have to go to the bar yourself to get your own drinks after asking the waiter twice, something must be wrong. Can’t imagine how their evening service fares when fully booked. We also found the service at Navigator being hit and miss with the with waiters choosing instead to stand around and chat rather than taking drink orders or taking plates away. Other than this we enjoyed the food at Frangipanier and Navigator. We did not try Serenata

Facilities at the hotel are very good with a good selection of activities during the day. The pool area is quite small considering the size of resort. The beach area is also not the best as it was quite rocky near the shore. This meant the pool can become quite busy.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Le Canonnier and would certainly return in the future.

Good Morning. We convey our warmest thanks to you for having posted this review and for having made a detailed report on your stay at the Canonnier Beachcomber. It is heartening for us to hear that you ‘enjoyed your stay’ at our resort even if you spent only 2 nights and that this experience prompted you to want to return in the future. Thank you for having chosen the Canonnier Beachcomber for this break and we are deligfhted that you had the opportunity to appreciate the renovated rooms and public areas. We regret that you had noticed some shortcomings in the service at one of our restaurants but we cant assure you that this is quite surprising to us as we always receive good guests’ feedback both on the food and the service for that restaurant. We are grateful that you highlighted this to us and we shall not fail to monitor the situation and we never sit on our laurels and we always try to keep up the good and mindful servive at all levels. We shall wait for your next visit and in the meantime, we send you our kindest regards.

Visited just after the renovations and we were treated to a classy all inclusive hotel.

Stayed on honeymoon package - champagne and goodies in our room on arrival.

All inclusive is the way to go. The food selection was extensive! If you are on a diet, don’t bother coming as the food selection is on another level. Choice of buffet or restaurant meals. Pancakes in the afternoon. There were a number of cocktails which you could choose from.

Water sports available and archery was fun. Did not need to leave hotel. Pool was great. Lots of lounge chairs available.
