Went with family - at my son/daugter-in-laws suggestion - and what a delightful surprise. The food was very good, staff attentive and what a wonderful place if you have small children.
Have been again on a few occasions and would return if it was just husband and I. This place really is worth a try if your in the area.
The price is really reasonable as well.

Came here after a swim on Kings Bay for a drink and some dessert. There is a lovely outdoor seating area with picnic tables, some of which have a view over Kings Bay beach.

After a 10 minute wait or so, we managed to secure a table with a view and opted for a banana split because of the hot weather. When it arrived it looked amazing and tasted even better - perfect to share between two.

The staff at the bar were friendly and the pub looked clean and well maintained.

Would definitely recommend the outside seating area on a sunny day (most of the tables have parasols) and would love to go again to try out the lunch/dinner menu.

We went for a meal last night and sat outside as we had a dog.

The tables were dirty. We asked if our table could be cleaned and they missed a lot of the dirt including some bird poo! We asked again, and still they missed a lot of the dirt!

One of our orders was wrong, came with chips instead of jacket potato. And our stake was not cooked to medium, was still very rare. The food was ok, very basic, cheap and greasy, its pub food.

Overall, the place looked run down and very dirty. Which is such a shame because the location is brilliant.
