Fantastic place to visit and in one of the hottest bank holidays ! Great little cottage very well equipped (hundreds of dvds ! ) did feel like someone’s home but very clean and cozy fresh bedding towels etc. Very clean oven fridge microwave ( my pet hate when dirty )
Table chairs outside and fantastic location ! Will definatley return here . So much to do great local pubs endless walks and kayak boat hire everywhere . This accommodation had bikes / kayaks/boats and all equipment ,need a roof rack to get kayaks to river unless you are very strong !
Highly recommended excellent

Good to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Would just like to add that the kayaks actually split into two and will go in the back of a car.

“Beautiful location, cosy little house”
Reviewed 3 May 2018 for a stay in May 2018

Beautiful location, nice little cosy house, clean and everything you need to cook and wash clothes if you want to. The only thing I missed was a hair dryer.
Beautiful area to go for walks in the woods with pretty views.

Pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay. There should have been a hair dryer in the main bedroom (it was certainly there the week before!

“Super location, great price, helpful owner.”

Wyewood Cottage is in a great location, just a 5 minute walk through the lovely bird filled garden at the front to the hand pulled ferry across to the pub (unfortunately this wasn't running during our stay due to the high water levels on the river). The cottage is cosy inside with everything you could need, it was perfect for our family of three. One word of warning, when you flush the toilet it's quite loud so unless you want to wake up everyone avoid this if you take a trip to the loo in the middle of the night! It's great to hear the river outside as you drift off to sleep and the birdsong in the morning, this really is a tranquil location. The owner Dave was great - we enjoyed our weekend away so much we even booked an extra night and when we next have some time in Herefordshire this will be top of our places to book.

We stayed for a short break over the school Easter holidays, first time at Symonds Yat, and had a fab time. Cottage was warm and cosy, kitchen was really well equipped, loads of towels and linen, walks from the door, games, dVds. The dining table is in the lounge area but folds really efficiently away. David was friendly and responsive in all email correspondence.
We visited Goodrich Castle which was fantastic for our 5yr old and two dogs as well as us, and the Hostelerie in Goodrich village was also superb. The Saracens pub opposite the cottage grounds was also really lovely but we didn’t get to use the handpull boat as the river was so swollen with rainwater. next time!
The walk along the river to the footbridge is beautiful, as is the walk over the river up to Yat Rock - we were lucky to see the Peregrines.
